"Wait! I can explain!" Diluc stayed calm, but gave a small fighting stance as the small human male, wearing a mask with glowing blue eyes, growled, "You cannot tell me anything, beast!"
He plunges forward at an abnormal speed, and Diluc barely dodged it as it pierced the wall behind, making a huge crack, and Diluc felt nervous, but stayed neutral
He runs out, and the night slightly helped him because of his dark clothing, but even so, this man can see in the dark
He wields a spear, made from the brightest of jades, and it looked sharper than many polearms
Diluc takes out his claymore, knowing it grew with him as he held the handle with one hand, facing the small human
"You think you can escape me? How absurd!" He hisses, plunging forward again, with incredible speed, barely dodging him
Diluc didn't want to make any destruction, and knowing his own strength, it can probably destroy the entire nation of Liyue
He then placed it away as golden particles disappeared, along with his greatsword, and runs away
"Hmph!" He says as he chased Diluc, now making the giant worry
What kind of people does Liyue have?! This small man was crazy! And worse? Diluc can see he holds an anemo vision
He couldn't outrun the male, and he was starting to panic inside, then grunted when someone pushed him against the wall with a powerful force
So powerful, it felt like this was the work of their God, and sure enough, a male, same as his height, but slightly taller, was pinning him to the mountain wall with one hand
His arms were brown and black, turning gold as it reached his hands, and his eyes, golden with the symbol of geo as he wore white clothing, with a hood, and a long strand of brown hair with gold on the tip waved from behind as he gasped
"Rex Lapis! I was going to finish him on my own," the small male says as he knelt down, bowing to him
Diluc figured this must be Liyue's God, and what surprised him is the fact that he let go of his shoulder as Diluc rubbed it, the grip really gave him a bruise
"You must be the friend Aether mentioned," Rex Lapis says, making both the small male and Diluc stare at him in confusion
"My deepest apologies, Diluc, of Mondstadt. I only wanted to help my adeptus friend, but I wasn't aware it was you he was after," the God says as he slightly bent, bowing with respects to Diluc, making him more confused than ever
"So, you know Aether?" The adeptus asked as he kinda sounded relieved
"Xiao, no need to attack. I'm sure our guest has some things to say. Again, apologies, he can be quite...temperamental," Rex Lapis says as the adeptus, named Xiao, sighs and blushes from embarrassment
"I'll leave you 2 alone then, Rex Lapis," Xiao grunts and disappears, and Rex Lapis just chuckled
"Would you like a cup of tea, Diluc?" He asks, as Diluc slowly nods, following him to an island, where it showed stones showered from an attack an were just left there
"Rex Lapis? The God of Geo?" Diluc wasn't expecting to meet another God other than Venti
"Aether came to me for advice on how to help you, and it seems like something went wrong, because you wouldn't be here," The God says as a pot magically appeared, steaming water as he added some cinnamon, ginger, tea leaves, and a pinch of sugar
"Please, have a seat," Rex Lapis offered as Diluc kindly refused, "Thank you, but I prefer standing."
"If you wish, these mountains behind us will keep us hidden when sitting down from any tourists or enemies," the God says as Diluc decides to sit down across from him
"Morax is another name I go by, for I am the God of Contracts and Mora," he says as Diluc was shocked to find it was him who created the currency they use nowadays
"Oh? I didn't know that," Diluc says as the pot's scent had Diluc intrigued
Morax magically summoned 2 small plates, fitted for their size of course, and 2 cups. He poured the tea in both as Diluc's heart was beating like crazy
Morax waits for the tea to cool down as Diluc just blew on it, and gave it a sip
Diluc: This tea is amazing!
Morax: *chuckles* I enjoy making it ever since I can remember. I'm not much of an alcoholic, but I do drink a certain wine every season that is meant to be celebrated
Diluc: Ah, I see
Morax: I was the one who showed Aether the people who still remember you, despite what the potion did
Diluc: Thank you, Morax
Morax: Just call me by my other name. I have retired as their God a long time ago, but I still have the abilities, even after giving away my Gnosis
Diluc: Gnosis? Other name?
Morax: Just call me Zhongli, and I do hope you keep this a secret
Diluc: I will guard it for life, and you retired? What do you mean by that?
Zhongli: I had been their God for over 6000 years, and when I saw the change of humanity, I decided to rest like a normal person among the people of Liyue
Diluc: 6000?!?!
Zhongli: I may be the eldest archon, but I promise you, I am more of the type to understand any situation and try to solve and help as much as I can
Diluc: That is very kind of you, Zhongli, and now, I accidentally made a bigger problem for my friends back home
Zhongli: I do not know what happens in your nation, but I do get acquainted with your God once in a while, even though he... *disgust* drinks an abnormal amount of alcohol
Diluc wasn't expecting for Zhongli to be disgusted by Venti, but it seems his drinking habit can annoy anyone
"I was left here to stay hidden in the meantime, and they plan to prepare a battle against our own people. I don't want it to happen, but Venti said it was going to happen no matter what."
Zhongli takes a sip from his tea as he sighs, "Trust in your friends. I believe they can protect you, even in your state, I believe they can succeed."
Diluc finished his tea and hands Zhongli his empty cup, and the God snapped his fingers, making it disappear as he looks into Diluc's red eyes
"A word of advice, try to smile a little more often," Zhongli says as he disappears, leaving Diluc alone in the island as the morning sun was starting to rise
