Kaeya has been requesting off from his duty as a Knight, and the Acting Grand Master doesn't mind, but he requested a 1 year break!!
She wanted to know what made Kaeya ask for, this, but every time she brought up the topic, he ignores it
Kaeya and Diluc, little by little, have been getting closer, even though there are some times when both argued, like how Diluc hates alcohol, and how Kaeya hates grape juice
But other than that, they're getting closer
Aether comes back to Mondstadt, leaving Paimon with Sarah, a chef from a nearby restaurant as she smiled, and Aether had to give her mora
He runs to Wolvendom, searching for the boy who lives with wolves
"Razor?" He calls out, but no response. What caught his attention were a bunch of electro slimes
Aether fights them off, but a wave of hydro slimes came up to him, and he gritted his teeth
As he was about to fight, a powerful electro claw zoomed past him, electrifying the slimes, killing them off
Wolves appeared out of nowhere, growling at Aether, but someone shushed them and was happy to see Aether, hugging him tight
"Lupical," Razor said, making the wolves stop growling at the traveler and looks at him
"Razor, I need you to help me with something, but first, do you know anyone by the name of Diluc?" Aether asks as Razor thinks
He was about to shake his head, and when Aether mentioned a serious red haired man, Razor's eyes widened and nods, remembering Diluc
He may not have spoken with him, but hanging out with Bennett and Klee made him meet the man, and he wasn't too fond of his seriousness look, but he is Aether's friend
"Friend of yours, is a friend of mine," his raspy voice said proudly as Aether smiled
"We need to find Bennett, can you help me?" Aether asks as Razor nods rapidly, and his nose started to twitch as he captured Bennett's scent, leading the way
They found him in a tree, trying to get a fruit, but also, kinda escaping some boar, which stared at the young male and waited for him to get down
"Just my luck," he mumbles, then noticed 2 figures, tried to wave at them, but a branch he was holding on to broke, and he fell down, hitting his butt hard on some rocks
The boar was about to charge at him, but whimpered when Razor growled and gave chase, killing the animal with a claymore weapon
He brings back some meat as the kid rubs his butt, then gives a thumbs up saying he was fine, even though you can tell he wasn't
"Hey there, Aether! Ow! I was trying to get some sunsettias for me to have a snack when traveling, but, you saw my situation," Bennett laughs as Aether shook his head
Razor hugged Bennett and they followed Aether as he briefly explained the people he needed, with some details taken out like how Diluc is a giant and how Venti is the Anemo God
"So let me get this straight, you need us to help you with some secret mission?!" Bennett was excited, and Razor nodded as Aether said he needed to find the bard and the girl in red
"Red Burny Girl?" Razor asks, and Aether found out who the last person is, thanks to Razor
"Diluc? Oh yeah! He never smiles, but at least he makes the best drinks at the Angel's Share! Not that I am old enough to drink," Bennett says as Razor just shakes his head with laughter
The 3 run to Mondstadt, searching for the girl in red, but a figure caught his eye as he saw a bard, sitting outside the tavern, drinking his 15th bottle of dandelion wine
"Venti!" Aether shouts, waking the bard up as he shot up, his drunkenness miraculously gone after all those bottles
"Aether! Damn it! I was having a good dream about a land, with a river that was wine!" Venti rambles as Aether explains the situation, leaving the details, to Venti
"I was wondering what took you so long to find me. I was starting to miss Diluc," Venti giggles as the group run inside the Favonius Headquarters
"Jean!" Aether calls as she steps out of the confinement room, and waves at the group
"Is there a problem?" She asks as he asked if the girl inside could come out for a moment
"She's grounded again, because I heard she used her bombs to scare birds away, along with blasting the fish in every lake, river, and pond. But since you need her, I'll let her out."
Jean opens the door, revealing a little girl dressed in red, blonde hair, and elf like ears
"Honorary Knight! You're back!" She says excitedly, hugging Aether as he hugs her back, and hugs Razor and Bennett as well
"Klee, be good with them, and don't blow up anything," Jean warns as Klee gives her a promise
The group runs out, going to Stormbearer Point as Klee, out of curiosity, asks, "Where are we going, Mr. Honorary Knight?"
"Klee, you remember Diluc, right?" Aether asks, hoping she knew, and she slightly frowned, "He's one of the weird grown ups. He never smiles."
Good, Klee remembers him. They make it to the tallest mountain, and Aether looks at the group, "Before I tell you anything, I want you guys to see this."
"I mean, you kept asking if any of us knew Diluc. Which is odd, because everyone knows him!" Venti says, but Aether's face said otherwise
"Yes, but a situation occurred, and since you're the only ones who know him, let me show you what happened, but promise me, you will not scream, run, or use bombs," Aether looks at Klee, who uses her bombs for fun, but tends to use it for self defense as well
"I promise, Mr. Honorary Knight," she says as Aether inhales and exhales, ready to show them what happened to Diluc
