Aether glides down as the others followed, seeing Kaeya right outside of the cave entrance
"Aether, glad to..." Kaeya trails off when he noticed the group behind him
"Don't worry, none of them were affected by the potion," Aether assured, but it wasn't enough to convince the captain
"Mr. Honorary Knight said that Master Diluc needs our help," Klee says as Kaeya seemed less protective
"Diluc is friend of Aether, friend of him, friend of mine," Razor says as Kaeya looks at Bennett, who was rubbing the back of his neck
"My bad luck was finally useful, but, what exactly happened to Diluc? I was told no one remembers him."
"I am just someone who doesn't get affected," Venti smiles as Kaeya loosened up
"Well then, since you all remember him, I'll show you what happened to him, but..."
"I told them to not overreact," Aether finished his sentence for him as Kaeya smiles, then goes inside the cave, followed by the group
"It's so dark," Venti complains as the others seemed used to it, even Klee
"Diluc, we found others who remember you," Kaeya says as everyone heard him shifting
The group behind Aether looked up, surprised, shock, fear, and worried, as they met 2 giant red eyes staring at them
"How this happened?!" Razor was trying to stay calm, and Klee, had no damn reaction, except being happy Diluc was ok
"Diluc? Why you so big?" Klee asked innocently as she looked down, his stare kinda terrified her
"Oh wow! This is cool!" Bennett's reaction wasn't any better, for it made Diluc want to take off the curse quicker
"Oh ho ho! Now that's something you don't see," Venti says as Diluc and Kaeya gave him a glare
"Well, the Abyss Order got me, and the potion wiped everyone's memories away, but only Aether and Kaeya remembered, and now, y'all do too," Diluc says as he looks away with sadness
"We'll help you!" Klee says cheerfully as she runs to him, hugging his index finger as Diluc blushed with embarrassment and looks away
"Yeah! I may not be lucky, but I'm happy and lucky to be chosen for this secret mission!" Bennett says as he and Razor smiled, making Diluc more happier, but still refused to smile
Aether made them promise to not tell ANYONE, even if they ask for his whereabouts
"They're currently hunting him down, and because no one remembers him, he'll get killed," Aether says as the group nod seriously, knowing Diluc is now in danger
"Let's visit him everyday in here," Kaeya says as they all agreed, making Diluc feel safer and less lonely
"If Jean doesn't put me in the confinement room," Klee says sadly as Kaeya thought of a plan to not let that happen
"Well then, this seems like a new adventure for Benny's Adventure Team!" Bennett says proudly as they all laughed with him
They all waved goodbye to Diluc as Kaeya stayed behind, looking at him as Diluc sighs, "They shouldn't help me."
Kaeya knew how Diluc cares for everyone, in his own way, of course, but this is their turn to help him
"Diluc, you can't always rely on yourself to try to get out of situations, and besides, having them is our best option, if it comes down to a battle," Kaeya says as Diluc sighs, knowing he can't change their minds
"So be it," Diluc lies down, closing his eyes to rest as Kaeya leaves, but Diluc wakes up, hearing someone else enter and sees the bard flying up to his face
"Mind if I sit here?" Venti asks as Diluc places his hand below the bard, and he gracefully lands and sits crisscrossed on his palm
"Venti..." Diluc was about to speak, but the bard shushes him, kinda rudely, "It's Barbatos to you, since I'm the only one here."
Diluc: Barbatos, what did Kaeya mean?
Barbatos: When he mentioned we might have to battle? Why yes!
Diluc: But, does that mean...?
Barbatos: The time might come, when we have to fight our friends to defend you, despite your state
Diluc: But -
Barbatos: Ah ah ah! Trust him, Master Diluc! He is your brother after all
Venti flies down and goes out, leaving Diluc in a shower of thoughts
He didn't want the situation to get to that point, and them coming to visit him, probably is making everyone suspicious of them
Kaeya, Aether, and Klee have a higher chance of suspension, but Bennett, Razor, and Venti, not so much
Diluc, for once, felt tears watering his eyes as he curled himself into a ball, wishing this never happened, but the Abyss, the fact that they used something powerful, kinda concerned him
The Abyss is not smart enough to think of potions like these, and while the mages may be the smartest of the hilichurls, it still didn't make any sense
He drifts into a deep sleep, thinking of how everything will come to be now that he has a group to defend him, even if it means fighting their own friends
