Not too long after Taehyung was thrown in the basement, and Dong-Wook made his way up to her room, Runa slowly moved around and blinked her eyes open, seeing a blurry figure sitting close by her and another at the foot of the bed, along with a comforting weight on her chest.

"Cookie?" She mutters, her vision starting to clear when the dog nudges her face with its nose, and her memory floods back in.

"Runa? Are you ok?" Dong-Wook is quick to ask, coming to her side and cradling her head with his hand.

In response, she groans at the ache throbbing in her skull and feels uncomfortably dehydrated. She clears her scratchy throat, sitting up on the bed with the help of Dong-Wook who holds her while Jungkook adjusts the pillow behind her.

"Thanks, I just need some water and I'll be fine." She mutters.

The underboss hands her a bottle of water from the nightstand, also grabbing the ice pack that slipped off her head and held it against her temple. After gulping the whole thing down, she takes a deep breath and carefully moves around, making sure that every limb is working.

"You might have a concussion. We should get you to a hospital just to be sure." Jungkook suggests while standing from the bed so Dong-Wook could sit in his place.

She shakes her head in protest and begins petting Cookie who moves her head in the woman's lap. "No, I've had a concussion before and this is just a headache. Nothing serious."

"Are you ok though? Besides your head, does anything else hurt?" The underboss worries, making her smile weakly at both of them.

"I just got banged up. No big deal. Did he escape?" She glanced at Jungkook who remained at her bedside.

"Yes and no. He went to his cabin and now he's in the basement tied up." He answered.

"Good, we should talk to him then." She moves to sit at the edge of the bed and the underboss gets to his feet with his hands placed on his hips, the ice pack resting on the nightstand.

"I don't think so. You need to stay in bed. You might just have a headache and a bruise but you need rest. We don't need you passing out on us or anything." Dong-Wook firmly demands, but of course she doesn't listen to him, going to her closet to change into more appropriate clothes.

"Seriously, Dong-Wook I'm fine. Just a bump in the head. We need to question him and find out if somebody put a hit out on me, or if he was alone in this." She argued.

While she closes the door to change, the underboss glances over at her bodyguard who remains quiet and in his usual stance. He sighs and gives up easily on trying to get her to relax because he knows that regardless of what he says to her, she'll do as she pleases.

She emerges from the closet in black skinny jeans and a fitted leather jacket, her hair tied back in a low bun and she grimaces at the blood stained wall, but not out of disgust. She was disappointed in herself for not finishing the job and now she was suffering the consequences. Meaning a throbbing headache that spread to the front of her skull and made her eyes strain.

"No matter what you say, I'm not getting back in bed unless this is dealt with. We can't risk it." She smiles triumphantly when the underboss gestures for both her and her bodyguard to follow him.

"Follow me, I locked him in one of the rooms."

Cookie trailed behind her as they walked down the staircase and through the living room towards the basement. She noticed how closely Jungkook stood by her, his coat brushing against her shoulder yet when she looked at him he didn't glance her way.
