Her head felt like a thousand bricks, yet somehow she managed to peel her eyes open and hissed from the burning sensation that spread like wildfire from the back of her skull. The figures around her are blurry and with a weak groan, mustering up some energy buried deep within her, she lifts her gaze.
"Fuck..."
She coughs out a whisper, her throat dry as a bone, and finally after some struggling, she moves her head again and opens her eyes wider, her vision clearing as soon as Taemin, some of his men, and Dong-Wook come into view. She heaves a relieved sigh even though he doesn't look too good strapped to the chair, his face a bloody mess.
Taemin stood there in all of his smug glory, a gun to the back of the consigliere's head that hung low from his lack of movement. Despite the pain vibrating in her skull that made her body pulse exhaustedly, she wiggles and tries to move closer, only to realize she was in the same dilemma.
Strapped to a chair like an animal, and looking around wildly, she takes notice of the abandoned warehouse they're in, probably one that was burned down by the looks of it. Smart considering everyone is searching for him and his brother and no one would suspect him to be in a place like this. Off the books it seems. It'll be a miracle if they're found.
"You awake, honey?"
His daunting voice had her on edge, her senses honed in on him like a target, practically feeling him whisper in her ear like he did when they first met. Eerie. Like a promise from Death itself. Something inescapable that lingers no matter where you find yourself.
The heat of rage spread to her chest like venom, a kickstart out of the hazy state she had fallen into due to the collision she suffered. Regardless of how sticky the situation was, she peeled herself from it and dared to look her enemy in the eyes with indifference. It amused him, his brows raising playfully while he pressed the barrel of the handgun harshly against the consigliere's head as a reminder to be careful.
"If you aren't going to answer me willingly I'll force words out of you. Doesn't sound very nice does it? Especially considering what he's already suffered. I'll make sure my men do worse to you."
"What do I have that you could possibly want?" She mutters, fear making her limbs fall boneless against the rough restraints.
In her head, she prayed for her brother and Jungkook to burst through the door and gun him and his men down. It was wishful thinking and even with her shit luck she still asked whoever would listen. If maybe just this once she could save someone who's always saved her. From the sound of a cough, the attention is drifted towards the man who now awakens, spitting out blood that drips down his face.
"Oh, would you look at that? Impeccable timing." The tatted male grins, massaging the end of the gun on Dong-Wook's head to let him know that he wasn't safe whatsoever.
When the consigliere slowly brings his head up to look at her, she gives him a weak nod and he heavily breathes out. "Whatever he says, don't agree-"
A hard hit to the back of his skull makes him go quiet, and she wiggles in her chair, trying to use whatever energy she had to get at him. But when she hears the clicking of guns from behind, turning to see his men aiming rifles at her, she settles down and hangs her head low.
"Relax alright? I just wanna talk." He laughed, moving to crouch in front of her slumped figure.
Keeping his eyes on her, he gestures with his gun for his men to bring forth a chair, and as he settles himself comfortably, resting his arms on the back of it since he's sitting improperly, she scoffs incredulously at him.
