Bodies littered every floor of the resort but it was taken care of by the company. Most of everyone on their side made it out unscathed, albeit a few casualties. Jimin had a slash under his right eye, San's hands were torn up from close combat, and Runa somehow managed to effortlessly look good even with severe bruising on her neck and blood on her face. She didn't say a word after being with Jungkook alone.

None of them did. They were exhausted and needed to tend to their wounds before handling whoever remained alive. It was close to 3 in the morning when they entered the gates of the estate. Home sweet home. Her brother didn't expect anything from her after what happened tonight but assuming her state she handled Taemin for the last time.

He whispered some brotherly reassurance into her ear, kissed her bloody cheek and gave a nod to Jungkook, not having to tell him to take care of her because he knew it was a given. The bodyguard took her hand and led her into her bedroom, flipping on the lights and walking into the connected bathroom so they could wash up.

She didn't focus on much until the hot water was hitting her back and he stepped, her attention on the wall blocked by his chest and moving up to his face. He doesn't need to say anything and neither did she. They often didn't have to. Instead she grabbed his face and made him lean down so she could kiss him.

He reciprocated the same passion she poured into him, his hands careful on her hips and mindful of the bruises that had bloomed across her ribs. It felt like nothing to her. She didn't even think about the pain when he nudged them under the water and blood slipped between their tongues, flooding down the drain. It was filthy and she loved it.

It took a few weeks but everything was pretty much back in place as it should be. The remaining members of the Yakuza were either jailed or killed, their territories taken by street gangs and since those were foreign affairs Jimin and Runa didn't meddle. The Min crime family ceased to exist, no one left alive so whatever survived was theirs to share.

Both siblings held a united front, the only powers in the country so they could expand and do as they wished with properties and businesses gained since the enemies that once held them were long gone. Speaking of, not long after his initial death, Taemin's body had washed ashore on some old lady's property.

It didn't take much to keep things quiet and get him disposed of, which ultimately terminated the contract for Jungkook's head. All of them stayed at the estate for a while to recover and get their assets together before showing their faces in the city. Runa didn't have to worry about some sniper a hundred feet away aiming at her bodyguard's head, and he no longer had to bother with fighting anybody else for the meantime.

Whatever damage Taemin, his gangs, and the Yakuza did to the city were repaired and details were swept under the rug like it always was with organized crime. City officials were well paid off and no one dared utter the names Kang or Park if they knew what was good for them. The dirty secrets hanging over their heads kept everyone in line.

In time, the Italian mafia had contacted her and sent Kim Namjoon to hold the position as her underboss. She didn't take their gift for granted. Her family and theirs have been on good terms since the beginning of all this.

Since they had foreign affairs to deal with, they sent him as an apology for their lack of assistance in her fight. She didn't take it personally because she knew as well as anybody else that if you couldn't help yourself you can't help others.
