Everything happened so quickly, meaning the death of the city's biggest crime boss and his daughter's rise to power, it was obvious that questions would be raised as to why everything fell apart and how Runa and a select few remained unscathed, even when they were the ones that would most likely be taken out first due to their positions and who they were.

That called for a meeting between the living Kang heir and the head of the Min crime family, Yoongi's father. You can imagine the questions raised by their allies, which she would soon put to rest. After that night, most things were already organized due to Jimin and Runa's thorough planning two weeks before the event.

She was quite impressed with herself, that she had put on such a good act and fooled everyone. That she grieved for her father but stayed strong so none of their enemies would see the weakness and take his death as an opportunity to attack them. Speaking of, The Yakuza had been awfully quiet, and both siblings knew that something was brewing.

Dori Sakurada not turning up to an important event such as the annual gala? Yeah, let's just say they were on their guard and using all the resources they had to try and find Dori and this guy he's working with. During the chaos, Jimin decided to make his presence known, meaning that he was no longer protecting his identity and presented his alliance with Runa, although their relationship was kept secret.

No one questioned the man, since everyone knew who he was, and they figured that after the fall of their leader, it was good another mafia boss, an ally, was in town to pick up the pieces. From what the Min family knew, Jimin was a close friend of Runa and came to the city looking to expand his empire, so no one looked into their alliance and why all of a sudden, the assassin had magically been found and killed.

Once Runa met with the other captains from the Min family, she explained that although the shooter had killed her father, it was smarter to keep the execution private so it wouldn't cause any more distress and draw attention. Luckily, since she had the power and influence, they never questioned the reasoning behind this and moved on as they always did. Although Kang Min-Su's assassination was something that would go down in history, not too many people were concerned about personal feelings towards it.

They were lucky that most of them didn't attend the gala and that their boss, Mr. Min, and the Min family were alive to pay them. That was their number one concern, so once they realized that the captains and gang leaders of the Kang crime family had been replaced with foreign men given by her ally, they weren't too concerned with further investigating or asking questions about what happened that night.

A shooter found out about the event and figured it was his way in to cause trouble between the families and get in the headlines of the newspapers, that was the most logical explanation she gave and they fell in line.

Even if it was true, the event was covered up and the cops didn't go sniffing around in the mafia's business if they knew what was good for them. It was funny to her, how this assassin caused such chaos and unbeknownst to the rest of them, her ally and brother had orchestrated it and the killer himself stood by her side as he listened to the captains discuss what happened.

The Min family had some casualties when the gangs started fighting, and as a sign of good faith, Runa found it best to give some of her men to Yoongi's father, and now she sat in front of the man with her bodyguard standing next to the door. His thick black glasses rested atop his nose, a feature his son took, and those same cat eyes that were also shared with the heir. Mr. Min was a prize much like his son was, both physically and in other aspects as well.

Runa had always liked the man and enjoyed their small talks whenever she'd tag along with her father to meetings and would see their closest ally, along with his wife and their devilish little bastard of a son, her ex. Seeing as not many knew about the true nature of their relationship, Mr. Min was always disappointed things broke off between the two.
