She sat across from her ex-boyfriend in his office, Jungkook beside her with a scowl directed toward the cotton ball sitting in his leather chair, twiddling a black pen in his hand that had Min engraved into the side. Per usual when in her presence, he had a flirtatiousness about him that her bodyguard found most displeasing.

He was overwhelmingly sarcastic and way too comfortable with her for being an ex. Jungkook wasn't against the idea of reminding him of his place, but of course, he had to keep his mouth shut and let Runa do her thing. She was seeking his help and both Dong-Wook and the bodyguard were opposed to the idea before she discussed her plan. It made more sense as to why they would want him on their side.

Min Yoongi might be an asshole with his 'I don't give a fuck' personality, but he was still madly in love with Runa and both men knew that would never change. From the few times Jungkook met him, he's always felt that those piercing feline eyes of his held secrets that could hurt her, but he dismissed it as being paranoid.

Thinking that maybe he was biased because he knew exactly what their relationship entailed and felt disgust with him, never once blaming her even though she was the one using her best friend. In his eyes, she had her reasons for doing things and did his best to keep an open mind with her. He only didn't like that the cocky male ever got close to her in such an intimate way.

The playful tone of voice and heated glances told him that when they were together, they were nothing but trouble. The bodyguard wasn't jealous, at least he thought he wasn't. It was the simple fact that he had a job in which it was required to be overwhelming and invasively protective.

The only reason he indulged in the idea of partnering with him secretly was to take down Min-Su, which would benefit the Min family and he knew that because of his love for her, he'd do anything she asked of him. Even if it meant being a traitor and conspiring with the Kang heir to take down the city's biggest crime boss. So obviously Yoongi was basking in his glory, smug about being asked for help, although she didn't ask, she demanded.

"So Min-Su killed your mother who was friends with Dong-Wook and now you two are working with the Executioner, the head of the Russian mafia who happens to be your brother, to take down your father so you can sit pretty on the throne?"

His cocky attitude was annoying to her even when she used to find it so attractive. But what can she say, she's always had a thing for assholes. That much was clear due to her serious crush on the brooding man sitting next to her.

"Yes. I know it's asking a lot considering how dangerous this is. If anyone found out, we'd all be killed for treason since we're conspiring against my father. But no one will know. We keep this between us and I'd prefer if we had another ally on our side."

He raises a brow, intertwining his fingers with his papery thin lips pulled into a sly smirk. "Is that so?"

He was being a tease, she knew it. He wanted to hear her beg and that wasn't going to happen. So the next best thing was to boost his ego and make him feel special. She knew what made him tick, she knew Min like the back of her hand considering she played him.

"Yoongi, you know me. I don't dick around and the fact of the matter is I want you on my side when things go down. You know how valuable you are, and because our history, I'm sure you know how much you'd be able to help me - us. This isn't for nothing."

"I know the risks you'd be taking, but to ensure your safety and discretion, if anyone starts asking questions, you won't need to worry. My brother will take care of it and he'll have his men looking after you."
