" We saw Spider." Were the only words Lo'ak told Tÿlana as they sat there, helpless. He looked over and saw her stunned look and nodded. " Yeah. I know."
" Dad!" Tuk cried out which brought all of their attention to the water where the Metkayina clan rode towards them. All of the warriors halted.
" It's Sully.." The man who distracted Tÿlana said before ripping the comm necklace off of Lo'ak's neck and taking the ear piece, placing it on his own and holding the comm up to his mouth. " Jake. Tell your friends to stand down. You know better than to test my resolve."
With that he took his gun and held it against Lo'ak's head making Tÿlana hiss at him, trying to break out of the cuffs. " Demon!" She yelled at him.
A soldier came up behind her and showed her the knife he was holding. " You see this? Yeah, I won't hesitate to use it on you."
Tÿlana went still as the knife went up against her throat. Tsireya cried out and tugged on her cuffs. " No! Tÿa!"
" It is fine. Stay calm, Reya." Tÿlana told her little sister as she looked out seeing her mother and father in the front, leading the warriors. She smiled a bit.
" I took you under my wing, Jake. You betrayed me. You killed your own, good men - good women. So I will not hesitate to execute your kid." The man continued to taunt Jake, the gun still being held against Lo'ak's head. Tÿlana imagined Jake said something to which the man responded that the offer was going to expire.
Was he really going to shoot Lo'ak in front of them? In front of the clan of warriors who had advantages on them? In front of Tuk? She was too little to witness the death of anyone, that would be some serious trauma.
She saw one of figures in the distance move up and she knew it was Jake based on the responses from the avatar's behind her. " Easy shot."
" You hit him now, they attack." The leader, at least that's Tÿlana's guess, told him. " Wait till he's on board."
At that moment Tÿlana wished Lo'ak had not teached her English because she did not like the sound of how things were possibly going to play out. Shooting Jake? That was a recipe for disaster.
" Payakan!" Tÿlana called out as she saw the large tulkun rise from the water and onto the ship. The girl's eyes widened as he planted himself over men, killing them instantly. " I love this tulkun!"
Tsireya and Tuk laughed at her comment while Lo'ak kicked one of the guys close to him toward Payakan, the tulkun sweeping the man away letting out a loud noise. The eldest daughter of the Chief let out a laugh with teary eyes as she witnessed the Payakan bring justice back to his name. She had wished Lua would've been able to meet him.
