Tÿlana stood amongst the giant group of her clan, holding her arms against herself securely. Ao'nung and Rotxo were on both sides of her, occasionally looking down to make sure the girl was okay but her face remained blank the whole time. Neither of the boys could imagine what was going on in her head at the moment so they simply didn't say anything.
" My spirit sister, her calf, and Lua have been murdered!" Ronal yelled loudly, looking around as she spoke. No one could miss the way she glanced over at her daughter with sympathetic eyes as the girl had tears rolling once again but her expression could not be figured out.
People in the crowd yelled and whooped in anger and vengeance before her father spoke, " This war has come to us! We knew about the hunting of our tulkun people, but it was over the horizon, far away. Now it is here!"
From beside her Ao'nung and Rotxo, along with the clan, all let out cries to express the emotions everyone was feeling. Many of them stuck out their tongues and made calls from the back of their throats. Tÿlana would have participated with them if it was not her tulkun that had gotten killed by those demons. Good Eywa, those demons were really beginning to get on her last nerves.
" You got...You got to understand how the sky people think, they don't care about great balance!" Jake rushed up, yelling at the clan with urgency and fear in his voice.
" We do not answer to sky people." Tÿlana finally spoke up, her tone seething and filled with fury. Her brothers turned to her before agreeing and yelling out. Many people followed after them.
" They killed tulkun! They will pay!" Someone from the crowd yelled out.
" The sky people are not gonna stop! This is only the beginning! You gotta tell your tulkun to leave! You gotta tell them to go far away!" He continued to yell, trying to warn them. In an aspect Tÿlana would have agreed and been the first to go but she did not have a tulkun to tell to leave anymore so she felt helpless.
" Leave?! You live amongst us and learn nothing!" Ronal cried out in disbelief at the words she was hearing.
Tÿlana zoned out, looking blankly at the ground as Jake continued to tell everyone information they needed to hear. She wanted to go back to Lua. She wanted to think this whole thing was a joke and when she went back that Lua would be alive and swimming around with her little brother. Tÿlana wished she could see her sister one last time, alive and well. Whenever the two were together they only felt joy, but now Tÿlana knew she would not feel anything of the sort when it came to the tulkun visiting. As of right now the girl couldn't feel anything but anger. She passed the grieving stage when she saw the lifeless body of Lua, she could only feel anger. The girl knew she would only feel that until she saw the lifeless bodies of the people who killed her spirit sister. Maybe, just maybe, then she would almost feel satisfaction.
