Yohan carried Ella up two flights of stairs as Billie followed her, carrying Ella's overnight bag that she always kept in the car. Billie pulled Yohan's keys out of Yohan's pocket to help her open the door since Yohan's hands were too busy cradling their daughter.

Yohan laid Ella down in the extra room that Billie had converted into Ella's bedroom while Yohan was gone. They both gently tucked her in, giving her forehead kisses. Billie went to turn on Ella's night light and the star projector on the bedside table.

Ella liked to sleep with music on, a habit she picked up from her auntie Drew so Yohan moved to turn on Ella's speaker and played Ella's "sleepy time" playlist that her auntie Drew had personally curated for her.

They walked out of the room. A little nervous now that they were alone.

"Thanks for treating us to dinner, I'm sorry she roped you into it."

"That's okay, I had a great time actually." Yohan smiled her radiant smile.

"Well, I suppose I should go," Billie reluctantly said. She hated having to go back to the house with Kai so she thought she might drive around for a while till the girls let her know it was safe to go home.

Before she could even move, they both saw a flash of lightning through the open windows. The thunder that followed it was loud and fierce and Billie shrieked, jumping towards Yohan.

Yohan had immediately launched herself towards Billie when she heard the shriek and wrapped her up in her embrace.

For the first time since Yohan's accident, Billie almost welcomed the thunder. Reluctantly thanking it for being the reason Yohan was holding her like this.

Billie began to slow her breathing, pulling herself away from Yohan. "I'm so sorry. I'll get going now."

"You're crazy if you think I'm going to let you drive in this weather. Especially since I know how you feel about it. I'm not letting the mother of my child get into an accident. Come on." She grabbed Billie's hand and started pulling her to the couch. Billie resisted at first.

Yohan sat down and patted the spot next to her. Just as Billie was about to sit down another flash of lightning followed by thunder so loud it rattled the windows was heard and she jumped towards Yohan again, seeking comfort.

Yohan pulled her in immediately and Billie ended up falling into in her lap, straddling her. Billie's face burrowed into Yohan's neck at the sound of the next thunder. Her arms tightening around Yohan's neck as it passed, clutching Yohan's shirt at the shoulders.

Yohan's neck was tingling with the feeling of Billie's breath.

"It's okay, Billie," Yohan whispered. "You're safe."

Billie didn't seem to hear Yohan judging by the way her body began to tremble in fear so Yohan grabbed her by the hips, intending to shake her out of her panic.

In doing so Yohan had unintentionally squeezed Billie's hips, her thumb pressing right inside Billie's hip bone. It was one of Billie's spots. Yohan used to drive Billie crazy by putting pressure on it and circling her thumb deeper into Billie's flesh.

Yohan was so familiar with the gesture that it was almost second nature and she didn't even realize she had dug her thumb in that spot as she squeezed Billie's hips to rouse her from her panic. It made Billie involuntarily moan and her hips instinctively ground down into Yohan's. The storm instantly forgotten.

It was like a chain reaction. Though Yohan hadn't meant it, feeling Billie grind down on her and hearing her desperate moan in her ear made her hips buck up involuntarily—which made Billie moan and grind down on her again.
