'ugly'

'she's gross'

'U could do so much better'

'Why would you even go for her?!'

'Ew'

These were my wake up call. It was 11:30 am and after Brooklyn had dropped me home last night the continual spam of hate had begun on the photo of us and Harper that he posted on Instagram.

PING PING PING

More hateful lonely girls who had nothing better to do on a Sunday morning than to hate on strangers. In a way it made me laugh, what kind of a world was this place where people just automatically hate strangers who are innocent. I rolled over and tried to sleep it off, but no sleep came (no wonder- it was 11:30am and broad daylight outside!) so I decided to listen to music. I put my iPod on shuffle and closed my eyes. My phone started vibrating- Brooklyn was calling me. I ripped out my headphones and picked up, I realised that every time he phoned or texted me I started shaking.

"Hey" I answered calmly

"I'm so sorry. I had no idea that was going to happen! I'm taking it down right now." he said worriedly

"Brooklyn, please don't stress about it, it's not like i wasn't expecting this to happen is it? I'm really fine so please don't worry about me."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes thanks."

"I'm coming over to check you're okay." I could hear the smile in his voice.

"I guess I can live with that." I joked

"Okay I'm leaving now!" he reassured me.

"Okay, see you in a bit!!"

"bye."

I barely even had time to put down my phone before Brooklyn texted me saying he was outside.

I went downstairs and opened the door for him.

"You couldn't just ring the doorbell?" I asked as I pulled him in for a hug.

"I didn't want to wake anyone up." He said thoughtfully as he closed the door behind him.

"Thats sweet, but they've both gone for a run." i smiled as I looked down and remembered I was still wearing my pyjamas.

"Freya, i'm really sorry. I didn't realise they were going to react like this."

He said it with such venom, they.

"Brooklyn please don't worry about it. I can't exactly expect all your die-hard fans to love your new girlfriend, can I?" I laughed. "Not one of those 3 million followers are going to like me and to be honest i couldn't care less because the last time i checked there are 7.122 billion other people in the world." I smiled.

"Look at you getting all geographical." he laughed.

We went upstairs and chatted for a bit.

"Hey Freya, my mum got offered two tickets to the premier of some new movie in town, she said we could have them if you wanted?" Brooklyn asked me.

"That sounds great! Can't wait. Say thanks to your mum for me" I smiled.

"That's okay. I should probably get going, I promised I'd take Romeo to football training."

"Okay, we still on for Thursday afternoon? Hanging out?" I asked as we walked down the stairs.

I opened the door for Brooklyn just as my mum and sister walked in.

"Hi Brooklyn." Said my sister as she headed back upstairs.

"Nice to see you too Maia!" I said sarcastically up the stairs, she was the moodiest 12 year old I'd ever met. Brooklyn chuckled.

"Hello Mrs. George, how are you?" asked Brooklyn politely as my mum closed the door behind her.

"Hello sweetie, I'm alright thanks, how are you?" my mum loved Brooklyn.

"I'm good thanks, I just wanted to talk to Freya about something. Anyway, my mum was asking if you all wanted to come over one day for dinner or something so you can all meet properly. If you just let us know when you're free we could maybe sort something out?" asked Brooklyn, he was so polite!

"That sounds fantastic! I'll check my diary and text your mum." smiled mum.

"Alright, I better get going." said Brooklyn as he waved to my mum."And call me if you need to talk." he added as he leaned in to kiss my cheek.

"will do." I smiled "bye!"

It was surprising how wonderful Brooklyn could make everything.
