ONE WEEK LATER, aleiya was still staying with audrey and the two have been getting very close as friends.

although, aleiya has been noticing a weird lump on her back. it actually took up her whole entire back.. it was like something was trying to come through.

aleiya hadn't heard anything from the turtles since her last encounter with them and she didn't tell audrey about them. and she still didn't tell audrey about her powers.

audrey was at work at her part time job. she worked as a waitress at a local pizza place. aleiya was on her computer looking for any online school courses she could take with the tv playing in the background when she started to feel back pain.

this pain was excruciating, aleiya closed the laptop with slam and groaned out loud in pain.

"shit!!" aleiya yelled as she got up from the chair. she then heard a ripping sound and realized.. the back of her shirt was ripping?

a few minutes went by and the pain died down. aleiya walked to the her bedroom where she was staying to look in the full size mirror and gasped at what she saw.

"what..the..heck?!" aleiya gasped as she looked at her new fiery wings. was this part of the mutation or was she going crazy?

aleiya was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard the tv announce breaking news and she heard eric sacks name, rushing over to the tv she sat in front of it and turned it up.

"hello guys it's april o'neil here with channel six news and today i have a very important warning, apparently a patient at the sacks psych for mental and physical illness a patient escaped and is now on the loose. sacks states that she is very dangerous with horrible mental health problems and is violent and crazy. her name is aleiya mendoza, she is fifteen years of age, around 5'5 or five six, tan skin, brown eyes and shoulder length curly brown hair. if you see aleiya do not approach her as she could harm you, instead call the police immediately. lock your doors and stay safe"

aleiya looked in shock as a picture of her with a warning sign appeared on the tv. she turned off the tv and looked down, when she heard a loud tapping sound on the window next to the couch.

aleiya looked over and saw a note taped to the window. she walked over to it opened it and pulled the note inside.

aleiya sighed as she folded up the note and put it in her pocket. she made her way up to the roof and was met with the four turtles.

"aye, long time no see girl" mikey smiled as he pulled her into a side hug. aleiya smiled as she made her way to the other three.

"two things, you have wings and your on the news. what's going on?" donnie questioned.

"two more things, i am aware i have wings and i am also aware i'm on the news" aleiya replied.

"so..why does the news say you escaped some psych ward and that your crazy and dangerous?" leo asked and aleiya looked down not knowing if she should explain what was going on.

"my parents died when i was little. eric sacks basically took me in and told me i had some type of illness and for years i believed him. every single day he would give me new medicines, inject me with different kind of needles and shit like that. i was never allowed to leave the lab until i was 'cured'" aleiya said and air quoted 'cured'

"and then when i gained my powers i found out that he had been lying to me and i escaped. i ran into an ally and that's where raphael found and saved me"

the four turtles looked at aleiya in complete shock. that's when aleiya heard audrey's car pull into the driveway.

"shit my roommates back, i have to go" aleiya said but leo stopped her before she went back inside.

"can we meet here at this time tomorrow night?" leo asked and aleiya nodded.

"of course" aleiya smiled before rushing back inside.

as she made her way back into the house audrey still wasn't home. aleiya realized two things; audrey had probably seen the news and what they had to say about aleiya and the other was that aleiya had big ass wings. aleiya quickly rushed to her room, quickly got ready for bed and pretended she was asleep.

she had really hoped this would all be okay and that audrey didn't see the news..
