AS THE SUN ROSE, aleiya was awoken by loud shouting and commotion coming from the hall outside of the room she stayed in. sitting up and rubbing her eyes, aleiya looked towards the door whilst nurses, doctors and scientists along with eric sacks burst into the room.

"she doesn't have much time left" one of them said.

"we need to preform this surgery stat!" another one said.

"her chances of living are severely low"

and not long after all the machines and monitors were ready one of the scientists laid aleiya down and began to cut into her shirt causing her to sit back up out of reflex.

"umm excuse me? what's going on?" aleiya questioned as she looked at sacks awaiting an answer.

"aleiya i don't know how to say this" sacks began, looking from the machines to aleiya. "your illness is way worse than it had previously been and we have to preform an emergency surgery or you will die" sacks finished as he saw fear rise in aleiyas face.

"..die?" was all aleiya managed to get out as sacks nodded and the doctors laid her down and finished cutting into her shirt. they began taping tubes to her arms and injecting her with sharp needles causing her to yelp in pain.

aleiya was scared; terrified. was she going to die? she had her whole life ahead of her! yeah she knew she wasn't getting out of this lab anytime soon but she still had hope that some day she would be free. right?

"we need to test her blood and see if we have anything to treat this" one of the doctors said. aleiya looked over and saw three scientists typing furiously fast on a keyboard.

"we have to run her under our emergency tests" another doctor said. every time one of them said something, the fear in aleiya rose more and more.

HOURS OF TESTING WENT BY, aleiya sat under a huge machine monitoring her blood and health rate. this was weird, everybody was freaking out but aleiya still had yet to feel sick at all. well, besides that pain she felt in her wrist the previous day everything was normal. aleiya knew not to question sacks or the scientists as they knew what they were doing.

even though aleiya had many questions she had no answers, every time she asked a question she got a half ass answer which made her question this whole thing even more..

sacks and a doctor that aleiya didn't know the name of entered the room grabbing her attention from her thoughts and sat down in the chairs next to her.

"unfortunately there is no cure for this condition, aleiya" sacks stated as he shifted in his seat. the worry on aleiyas face was clearly visible right now.

"so..i'm gonna die?" aleiya worried as she looked between sacks and the doctor.

"well..not necessarily" sacks started; "like i've told you in previous times, this illness is very rare and incurable. but, with special medication you should be fine"

"but i don't understand.. you already have me taking special medicine" aleiya, now confused said in a question like tone.

"yes that's right" sack's suspiciously nodded. "but now your illness is much worse so we have to have you take a different, stronger medicine"

"so then the medicine wasn't helping me at all if it's worse now which means i was taking it for no reason..?" aleiya was trying to make sense of all this.

"not necessarily" sacks denied. he paused, looking around the room before answering. "the medicine was helping we just have to update it" sacks nodded, hoping the list of aleiyas questions and accusations would be over.

"uh-huh and one more thing, why don't i feel sick? shouldn't i feel some type of symptoms if this illness is as bad as everyone is saying?" aleiya looked sacks dead in the eyes.

"that's..part of the illness?"

aleiya could tell sacks was lying. by the tone of his voice or the look on his face or the way he wasn't confident at all in his answer she knew he was lying.

sacks then grew a worried expression on his face and so did the doctor, sacks muttering an "uh-oh" as he was now not looking at aleiya but behind her, aleiya turned around and saw all the machines, test tubes, desks, chairs basically everything in the room was floating up in the air.

"what the hell.." aleiya whispered as she looked in amazement and confusion. the lights then began to flicker causing both aleiya and sacks to snap out of their trance.

"this wasn't supposed to happen for another two years.." sacks mumbled, still looking at the flying objects but it was loud enough for aleiya fo hear.

"what wasn't supposed to happen?" aleiya questioned as she looked at sacks who then looked at her.

sacks didn't say anything and a loud crash was heard. aleiya jumped and quickly turned to see everything was shattered and broken on the floor. aleiya turned back to sacks and looked him in the eye once more.

"what is going on?"

sacks finally gave aleiya an answer that shocked her, as he told her this information her face went pale and her heart dropped to her stomach.

"you have super powers.."
