Chapter 16: On a Wish and a Prayer

Y/n's Pov:

We arrived at what Jay told us was his mansion. I don't really know how he was able to afford this but at least it's a safe place for now.

We walked inside while D/n followed us inside.

"Ahem. Welcome to my humble abode." Jay said

We all gasped in awe as we saw the inside.

We then walked into a room to the left.

"Fear isn't a word where I come from." A statue said

"So how did you come across this place again?" Lloyd asked

"I saved up. Yeah, that's it. I saved up every little bit and now...ta-da, here's my secret hideout. Ha, ha. Of course it can be our secret hideout." Jay said

"Fear isn't a word where I come from." The statue repeated

"First we lost Wu, then Misako. Now Kai. I don't know about you, but I'm staring to see a pattern." Lloyd said

"Whenever one of us finds ourselves alone, we disappear." Zane said

"Then we better stick together from here on out. We need to take a look at that lantern. Jay, hit the lights." Nya said

Jay then started to look for the lights.

He then hit a button and it closed all the windows and doors. D/n then shot into the lantern lighting it up.

"Wow. So this is supposed to point the way to the only thing that can stop Nadakhan?" Nya questioned

"Not stop, slow." I corrected

"Yeah, remember that a drop of venom from a Tiger Widow can kill a normal person, but slow a Djinn down before he can disappear on us. If we need to trap him, then we'll need this venom. So let's figure out a plan." Lloyd explained

"Yeah, and if we need to get Slitherwing venom we have to remember to not touch them directly. If you do touch the venom you'll be dead by the next moon. Oh, and there's a cure to it as well, remember the ingredients are, Angel fern, Pine sap, and Slitherwing venom." I explained

After I explained Cole and I shared a look before talking to Jay.

"You saved up for this place? Baloney. Whenever money comes your way you waste it on junk food and video games. What's really up?" Cole asked

"Oh, and don't try lying about this. I've been stuck with three mutton heads before I came here who always lie, so I can practically tell if you are." I said

"Yeah and we both know you too well. Start talking." Cole said

"Fine. I made a wish with Nadakhan." Jay said

"You've seen Nadakhan and haven't told us?" Cole practically yelled

"Shh. He came when I was alone. I wished to be rich and impress Nya, and instead I got a letter telling me I've inherited my dad's estate, only turns out I'm adopted and my birth dad is Cliff Gordon." Jay explains

"Who?" Cole and I questioned

"The guy who played Fritz Donnegan." Jay explained

"So the Tiger Widow and Slitherwing are on that island?" Nya asked

"An island that doesn't exist according to my database." Zane said
