Chapter 13: Have A Flower!

Jae-min shoots electricity at the fire dog, zapping him each time. However, against a literal dog on fire, this fails to make any impact aside from a temporary startle to the canine's attack and maintains a spaced-out dance of sorts between the two.

Seung-kwan attempts to shoot flowers at the dog, but that...well...I think you can figure out that that is pointless and fugal.

"Nothing's working, Jaeminie!" Seung-kwan gasps, unleashing a blue daisy flower that falls to the ground at the dog's feet.

The dog steps on it and at once the flower ignites in a flame and burns away to ash and then nothing.

"I'm trying!" Jae-min grunts out.

Jiog snaps his powerful flaming jaws at Jae-min, almost getting a finger, but instead earning a nice zig-zag of an electric current to stun him temporarily again for the hundredth time.

Meanwhile, Ryu-jin and Jeong-yeon have both managed to drive the Gumiho out onto the rock platform that overlooks the sharp and rough waters of the ocean. The clouds overhead are dark and a faint grumble of thunder can be heard.

WinWin and Mark have joined Haechan and Mark is swinging his blue sword at the dragon. Yong-sun shoots fire breath at the knight, who deflects the burst with a fantasy-skilled block of his sword, which glows blue.

The moon rabbit is glowing white, its beady red eyes illuminated by his color, as he takes on the trio. (Ravn is still wounded slightly from the previous attack-ambush by the four mythical creatures on Jeju.)

Tae-il looks up at the rope binding his wrists. He can see how red they've become. When he drops his head back down, he sees Haechan spin around and lock eyes with him. In the wordless exchange, Tae-il knows that Haechan is going to come for him now.

Haechan darts across to where Tae-il dangles on the rope. He reaches up and begins to untie the knot. "Taeilie, are you okay?"

"I am now, Donghyuckie. How'd you find me?" Tae-il asks him.

Haechan rips the knot loose and Tae-il's wrists finally slide free and his arms fall down to his sides. "It's a long story. But...ever wanted to date a blood-sucking bat?"

Tae-il grins, rubbing his sore, red wrists. "I'll stick to human Donghyuckie."

Haechan flashes his canines. "I'm learning to control my anger." His eyes snap down to see the red rope marks. He gingerly picks Tae-il's hands up. "But I'll do whatever my Taeilie wants me to do." He kisses Tae-il's wrists.

Tae-il giggles like a schoolgirl.

"YOU BITCH!" slices through the air from Ryu-jin's furious growl.

Haechan and Tae-il whirl to see, through the arc that the nine-tailed fox lady has slashed her fingers across Jeong-yeon's face only to now be locked in a canine-battle with Ryu-jin the werewolf.

Fox vs wolf.

Kyung-hwa has raced over to check on Jeong-yeon, while Shin-won tries to calm Maverick down.

And then Jae-min howls in pain as Jiog (finally) clamps his powerful jaws successfully on Jae-min's arm and yanks him like a dog toy to the rocky ground, busting his lip. Seung-kwan, in fury, throws his hands down to his sides.

At once a burst of flowers tumbles from him on a long thorny vine, which entangles and traps Yong-sun inside. The perfect thick flowery nature preserve.

Stunned by this, the Gumiho is nailed by Ryu-jin, who then sinks her teeth into the fox's neck. Similarly, the moon rabbit is finished off by Seo-ho.

The goblin and fire dog remain.

However, Mark gallops over on WinWin and decapitates the goblin with ease and a single swing of his glowing blue sword.

The bulgae gasps in shock, Jae-min's arm still entrapped and bleeding in his mouth.

Jae-min yanks his arms free from the hell hound's mouth.

Seung-kwan turns to glare at the fire dog. "You wanna join your mythical friends?"

The bulgae shakes its head and with a whimper, tucks its tail and scampers off.

Seung-kwan proudly puts his hands on his hips. "What do you know, my flower powers can actually be useful after all."

Jae-min nurses his injured arm. "Nice job, Seungkwanie!"

Seung-kwan tosses his head, the flower crown remaining locked in place in his silvery-blue hair.

Yong-sun's muffled scream can be heard from the nature preserve of flowers.

"Did he just cuss?" Ryu-jin inquires, coming to check on Jeong-yeon with Kyung-hwa.

"What's that? Couldn't hear you, loser!" Mark sneers.

"Don't piss him off," Haechan hisses.

"Why? What is he going to do, trapped like that?" WinWin questions.

"You shouldn't say something like that, WinWin?!" Kyung-hwa scolds.

Just then there is a burst of red energy from the orb that zaps the flower-prison and shatters it before their eyes.

Yong-sun stands, his wings spread out to the sides and his head high and furious. He sweeps his wings out and takes down Mark, WinWin, Jin-ho, Seo-ho, Dami and Hak-nyeon. Then he turns to Haechan and Tae-il.

Haechan wraps his arms protectively around Tae-il.

"Forget sacrifice...Moon Tae-il shall earn no such ceremony. But he shall be killed!" He slams his clawed foot down and then charges toward them.
