"NO!" Mark's voice shouts out. He scrambles to his feet, bleeding from his nose and an ugly cut on his lip. He dashes away from the others, who are stunned (including WinWin) and draws his blue-glowing sword up before him.
There's a battle cry from Mark and Yong-sun both.
And also a scream of horror from Tae-il, as he and Haechan grip one another, refusing to be torn apart. If they are struck down, they are struck down together.
Everyone in the lair draws an intense breath. What will happen? Good will triumph evil? Right?
Mark plunges his sword into Yong-sun's side.
The glowing red orb shatters into a million pieces.
Mark screams in a victorious pain as he glows blue.
Yong-sun falls to the ground just inches from Tae-il and Haechan. His frustrated, furious beady eyes glaring the two down with utter loathing.
Then Mark (and his sword) and Yong-sun (and the orb) are gone. Poofed into oblivion.
The bodies of the moon rabbit, goblin and nine-tailed fox - also POOF!
Outside, the clouds part and the moon shimmers in the sky, blood red.
Then, within a few seconds, it too cracks and shatters like a broken mirror under the force of a furious fist.
At the shoreline, Jiog gasps before he too bursts into dust and disappears to oblivion.
Meanwhile, sparkles rain down all around the cave, an eerie peace, silence and calm fills the lair.
And everyone's collectively held breath is let out.
Haechan still clutches on tightly to Tae-il. Their hearts beating fiercely from the adrenaline and fright.
Ryu-jin and Jeong-yeon grip one another.
Jae-min hugs Seung-kwan tightly.
Shin-win and Kyung-hwa share an embrace.
Everyone is shocked. Stunned.
But they all know that the curse is broken as Seung-kwan shoves Jae-min away from him, the flower crown falling off his head and WinWin stands up to his feet, looking to the shattered moon that shines in the sky.
