Chapter 14: Safe and Sorry

It had been a few hours since the royal family came home from the Yiga Clan hideout, and the sun had already risen and was shining above the kingdom. Urbosa had stayed at Gerudo Town to talk to her sister and the council about the ordeal, while Amirah took her husband and daughter straight home. You had yet to come back, which worried her. But Robbie and Purah claimed they were still receiving a strong signal from Terrako, so she tried to reassure herself that you were fine.

Lucien had explained everything that happened the night before, with Astor attacking and trying to take Maeve. They spent most of the morning in their room with their three children, and Zelda fought with herself about whether or not she should speak to them about what happened. Even if they seemed fine, she feared that the event could have scared them.

"Amirah," Rhoam said as he walked into his room, and he saw his wife sat on their bed staring at the mask she had worn inside the clan. "Urbosa promised to send guards to search for _____ if she doesn't return within the next hour."

"Alright." Amirah breathed, not looking up from her mask. Rhoam sighed and walked to the side of the bed. He placed his hand on her back, and she finally looked up at him.

"I thought you'd be happy. Astor and Elric are both gone, and we don't have to deal with their threat anymore."

"But what about Sooga and Kohga? They could both still be alive, and what if they were able to trap _____?" She thought, and then she gasped. "What if Terrako took her home since Astor's gone now?"

The doors to their room burst open, and you smiled when you saw your sister and Rhoam.

"Amirah!" You rushed over to hug her, and she laughed and squeezed you tightly. "I was so worried about you until we heard you guys already went home!"

"I've been worrying about you all morning!" She pulled away from you, still smiling, and then she looked behind you to see Jack and Terrako waiting at the door. "Jack."

"Oh, yeah, I found Jack and got him out of there." You looked back at your cousin, and he bowed his head to Amirah as he walked closer to her. He held his hand out as she slid off her bed, and she moved his hand out of the way so she could hug him.

"I'm so glad you're here." She managed to say as tears streamed down her cheeks, and he smiled and hugged her back, glancing up at you as you grinned and rested your hand on your hip. Terrako leaped onto the bed and whistled, and you patted his head.

"We would have been out of there sooner, but we had to find Terrako. Sooga took him and locked him up." You told her as she pulled away from Jack, and she giggled as she watched him jump up and down. "Oh! And speaking of Sooga, Jack and I beat him!"

"You did?" Amirah asked, her watery eyes widening as she clasped her hands together, and you nodded proudly. "How?"

"I pushed him into a giant hole and broke his charm. But, I never could find Kohga." You sighed, but she seemed less disappointed than you as she hugged you again.

"Who cares about Kohga. We did what we were in there to do, and that's that."

"You guys killed Astor?" You asked, and she nodded. "Oh my gosh, you guys killed Astor!" You squeezed her again, and then Jack joined your hug for a moment before you pulled away.

"Really, it wasn't all us. Well, we killed his son, but that's a whole different story."

"He has a son?" You asked, and she waved her hand about, but then she grabbed your wrist and led you out of her room. The next door over was Zelda's, and she knocked on it.

"Come in." Zelda called, and Amirah pushed the doors wide open. "_____! You're back!" She smiled weakly when she saw you, and you nodded and looked to your sister, whose smile faded as she looked at the sleeping toddlers beside Zelda. "They're taking their nap."
