Alex's POV

I woke up to my alarm and quickly changed into my clothes heading over to the station seeing Vic's car parking at the entrance

"hello there" she said as she came over

"hey" I smiled and saw her staring "you guys need to get over the fact that I look so alike to my sister"

"I know I'm sorry" she said as she shook her head "so first day being actually on call?"

"yes" I smiled. I did love the aid car part but I just needed to be back into fires

"gotta show us what Chicago knows" she said as we walked into the kitchen

"they might know a thing or two" I said

"hey" said Maya as she came over "alright everyone Hughes and Warren Aid car" she said "the rest of you are on the engine"

"cool" said Andy as she turned to me "looking forwards to it?"

"yeah definitely" I said as I followed her into the barn

"can you give me a hand?" she asked as she handed me some O2 tanks "so how did your bar night end?" she asked and I swallowed hardly

"uh what?" I asked confused

"the other night" she said "I hope you didn't drive"

"no, no worries" I said "one of the doctors from grey sloan drop me off" I said

"Jo?" she asked

"uh, no" I said "Shepherd I believe" I said playing dumb

"oh yeah Amelia, she is amazing" she said and I nodded

"yeah seemed so" I said

*Engine Dispatch 5th avenue* called out the speakers"

"time to roll" said Andy as we both jogged over to the engines and quickly got dressed

"okay come on 19!" said Maya as she run over

"did they say what?" asked Andy over the headphones

"two story house" said Maya over "so far contained, 4 victims inside"

we made it to the house and jumped off as we surrounded Maya

"Deluca Herrera you're on search and rescue" said Maya "Gibson Montgomery turn this off"

"copy captain" I said following Andy

"ready?" asked Andy as we both pulled on our masks and I nodded jogging inside after her

"stay close together low visibility ranges" said Maya over the radio

"Andy" I said as I heard some coughing "Fire Department call out!" I yelled

"here" we heard I faint voice over

"Alex go" nodded Andy and I headed over to what seemed to be the kitchen to find a young woman

"ma'am" I said "is there someone still inside?" I asked

"Upstairs" she managed to cough

I nodded and saw Ruiz coming over

"got her Alex" he said as he helped the woman up "go, I'll take her to the aid car" he said and I nodded rushing after Andy

"upstairs Andy" I said as we both headed towards the stair climbing up

"watch out!" yelled Gibson as our stair began to crook and I managed to get ahold of one of the stringers from the top with one arm stretching the other over to Andy
