Maya's POV 

"come on" said Andy as we were chatting in my office "just admit it" 

"I won't admit to it!" I said 

"just say you're like slightly affraid" she said "tiny bit" 

"Not affraid" I said "I just wouldn't like to figure out how she'd react"

"hey" said Vic as she walked in "what are we admitting to?" she asked and I looked at Andy 

"How Maya is affraid of Carina's reaction" she chuckled 

"I'm not!" I said "I just know she is not a huge fan of them" I said 

"If it somehow helps" said Vic "I'm affraid of Carina too" she said and I chuckled "what? I'm not kidding" 

"How are you two doing by the way?" she asked 

"we're alright" I nodded "quite alright" 

"how's the whole Alex situation going?" asked Vic 

"I gotta admit, it's still a bit weird" I said "she's amazing, as a person and as a firefighter" I nodded "It's just weird reminding myself she's Carina's sister" I said 

"makes sense" said Andy "did Carina say something about home situation?" she asked 

"Not much honestly" I said "I think she is not giving much about it" 

"Maybe give it time?" said Vic "I'm guessing it's not something she's gotta be willing to talk about" she said and I nodded guessing she was right. 

Carina's best guess was that something bad had happened with her father and I guess she was right, specially given that she would refuse talk about home situation when asked.

Alex's POV

"hey" I said as I walked into the hospital looking for Carina

"hey" said Jo as she bumped into me

"are you alright?" I asked as she seemed a bit shaky

"yeah, I'm... I'm alright" she said

"you sure?" I said and she shrugged and I looked at her unconvinced

"I'm moving out" she said "as in moving out"

"did you and Link have a fight?" I asked and she nodded

"more like a separation" she said

"I'm so sorry Jo" I said

"it's alright" she nodded "I guess sooner rather than later it would happen, better now than later"

"I'm really sorry Jo" I said "where are you going now? What's the plan?"

"I don't know" she sighed and I smiled "I'll figure it out soon. More like tomorrow night"

"you know I have a spear room for you" I said

"Alex I can't go invade..." she began

"invade?" I smiled "Jo please, you know I hate living on my own plus I literal have two spare rooms"

"are you sure?" she asked unsure "I don't want you to feel like..." she began

"Jo" I smiled "move in with me"

She smiled as she jumped to hug me

"thanks" she said "so much"

"Jo there is no need for thanking me" I said

"I mean you saved me from living in my car so..." she said

"shut up" I smiled

"I'll get my stuff tomorrow midday if that's alright" she said
