The moment you and Luigi made eye contact, he stopped in his tracks and stared at you in shock. He was only broken from his shock when he noticed your injured leg.

"Oh- Oh my gosh!" He stuttered out as he rushed to your side. "W-what- I mean who... I-I'm sorry! Um..."

Still full of adrenaline, the sight of someone who was typically your enemy approaching you caused you to instinctively push back from him. In doing so, you put pressure on your wounded leg, causing you to cry out in pain while gripping back onto your calf.

"I-I'm not going to hurt you!" Luigi quickly explained. "Please, I can help. Uh, H-here take this..."

You then noticed the red and white healing mushroom he now had in his hand. You then looked at it with dread when you realized you wouldn't be able to use it.

"No!" You yelled out without thinking.

Luigi seemed startled and confused by your sudden yell.

He looked at you with concern as you began to regret shouting like that. Your heart beating out of your chest, you desperately tried to come up with a good lie for why you couldn't use the magic item.

"Sorry, sorry..." You started to backtrack. "It's just- uh, I can't use it, I'm... allergic..."

You mentally face palmed at your blatant lie.

No way he's going to buy that...

"Oh... that's not good." He said while putting the mushroom away. "I- uh, we need to get you to Toadsworth quickly then. H-he can heal you, but, um- we should probably try and stop the bleeding."

You were grateful that he seemed to buy your lie.

While you were unsure who Toadsworth was, you did agree with needing to stop your bleeding, so you pulled your jacket off and began to try and tie it tightly around your wound.

Your hands were shaking badly as you struggled to tie it. Everything that just happened seemed to have really shaken your nerves as your anxieties started to get the better of you. You could feel your eyes become misty as you continued to fumble with your jacket.

"Hey... um, I can help you with that..." You heard Luigi say from next to you.

You instantly gripped onto your jacket and gave him a cold glare as you watched his hand near your leg.

This caused him to retract his hand immediately while he gave you a look that consisted of worry and slight fear.

As you stared into his nervous blue eyes, your mind couldn't help but go back to the day he helped you escape the crumbling ruins, causing your sharp gaze to soften a bit.

You then remembered the reason you were here...

I really shouldn't be treating him like an enemy...

At least not right now.

Slightly defeated, you let out a sigh and loosened the hold on your jacket.

"Ok..." You quietly muttered.

Luigi seemed to untense as well while he reached out and carefully took your jacket.

You winced at the pressure the jacket put on your injury as he tightly tied it around your bleeding wound. You couldn't bring yourself to look at him while he tied it, feeling weird over the fact that your enemy was helping you.

You took this chance to glance around the room you were in.

You seemed to be in a small stone room with two arches on either side of it. Lanterns were neatly hanging on the ceiling, and overall the room was a lot drier than where you had just been.
