Despero and Y/N stare at one another when suddenly the man immediately grabs her by the neck and screams, lifting her from the ground, then body slams her on the floor. The wind being knocked out of her, she groans quickly to turn over and wrap her arms around her head, a low whine falling from her lips. Despero got back on his feet, fixing his suit jacket, and turning away from her.

Y/N leans her forehead against the floor, inhaling sharply and mutters, "I thought we had a truce."

"I thought as much." Despero replies, "Your bravery is strengthened by the reassurance you gain from enhanced healing."

Y/N rolls her eyes, getting on her knees as she looks up at him with a glare, quick to get back on her feet and place her hands behind her back, leaning back slightly. "It doesn't mean I enjoy getting slammed against everything to prove how long it takes for me to heal."

"Pain is the debt we pay for change, and I'm here to change the future." Despero reminds her, "Thanks to this experiment, I now know the force required to kill you when the time comes."

"Yay to experiments," Y/N utters under her breath, placing a hand behind her neck to give a small rub.

"I've seen your destiny, Electric-Flash. I've watched you use your powers to destroy everything and everyone." Despero hissed.

"Well, you're not doing a very good job at explaining either." Y/N snaps, throwing her arms up, "So tell me, if you know so much about me― what caused me to want to burn this world to hell?"

"Madness." Despero answers── she narrows her eyes on him, "Many times in the past, the pain you've suffered nearly crushed you. But soon, a new despair will befall you. And it will create an unbroken chain of sorrow, so great your mind will crack."

"And with it, the world ends." He continues as she listens with an uneasy expression, "You see― your powers have recently accelerated. But so too has your ability to descend into madness. The tragedy is coming for you, Electric-Flash."

"What remains to be seen isn't whether or not you'll break. It's when." Despero pressed on.

"I have seven days, you gave me seven days." Y/N points out with a look.

"I'd worry more about tomorrow if I were you." Despero warns, "I don't know the details of what will happen― but I know tomorrow is the beginning of the end. Your end. I've granted you a chance to defy destiny, but I'll be staying close by. As soon as I sense your mind turning mad, I'll find you."

The two stare at one another, and the speedsters start hearing small whispers in her ear causing her to tilt her head to the side slightly. The man adds, "Good luck fighting fate, Electric Flash."

He closed his eyes and his third eye came back to view as it glew and the voices grew louder as he tells her telepathically, "I'll be watching. I'll be watching."

The girl swallows the lump in her throat, her expression falls a bit as she takes a step back to only stare at the man in front of her.

"Okay, uplink to the Tower mainframe is secure. You now have access to our alien database including intel we have on this 'Despero'." Alex Danvers tells the team, (including Frost who has returned), that was gathered in the lounge as they were talking to her via video call.

"Thanks for helping us again, Alex," Barry tells her, crossing his arms.

"How long will it take to download?" Chester asked, seated on one of the chairs.
