[SURVIVOR - 2WEI]
Barry stares at the Still Force in concern, "Deon― what is going on with me?"
"The temporal mutations I've been tracking? It turns out every one of them leads to you." Deon informs him, "I know I've been treating your time sickness like it's a virus that's giving you symptoms."
"The gaps of time," Barry realized, "The way I've noticed things being there one minute and gone the next."
"There's something about you that's causing time to fracture around you." Deon steps forward, "Barry, this isn't a virus you have― whatever this time sickness is,"
"It's coming from me." Barry inhales sharply, digging one of his hands inside his jeans pocket. The brunette runs his other hand through his hair, a slight panic coursing through him as he turns around.
Just then, the doors to the bedroom open and the two look over to notice Y/N making her way inside with another mug of tea. She stops in his tracks noticing Deon in the bedroom, a surprised expression appearing on her features── although, she can feel the tension in the room.
"Deon, hey," Y/N said in a confused tone, shutting the door behind her and walking to stand beside her husband, her eyes falling on him. "What's going on?"
Barry looks at her and then glances at Deon, the two sharing concerned expressions. Y/N didn't like the silence, wordiness erupting in the pit of her stomach, she set the mug down and crossed her arms, questioning, "What's wrong?"
The two were quick to fill her in on what's been going on lately, especially Barry── they head downstairs to discuss the topic even more. The couple sat on the couch as Deon sat on the armchair.
"Well, how do you feel right now?" Y/N grabs Barry's hands, interlocking them as she rests them on her lap.
"I just― I feel fine," Barry says honestly.
Y/N sighs softly, her eyes landing on Deon in concern, "So all of this is happening, just because of what happened in the other timeline?"
"Yeah," Deon nods, "I should've never reversed your treatments."
"No, I was the one to ask you to do it, and it was the right choice." Barry tells him, "Without it― we wouldn't have proved Y/N's innocence, saving Ethan and Joe's lives."
"Yeah, but these anomalies you're experiencing?" Deon mentions in worry, "I mean, who knows what's next?"
"Well, there has to be a cure," Y/N states in determination, tightly grasping her husband's hands.
"We will find one― right now, we just gotta keep you stabilized." Deon looks at Barry who nods silently. "I'm sorry, but you gotta stay put."
Barry turns to his wife, the brunette tilting his head to the side, "What other place than home? I'll just call Kramer― call in sick."
"Yeah, it's better for both of us." Y/N places a comforting hand on his shoulder, "I'll know where you are, and you can just call me when something happens."
The brunette smiles softly, grabbing her hand as he glances at Deon, "How long do I have to stay here for?"
"Well, considering the universe is like a zillion light years large, I'd say staying put is a relative thing when it comes to Earthly movements, so I'm thinking that if you confine your movements to Central City for a while, it should lessen the risk," Deon informs him, standing from his seat. "Meaning― you can most definitely not be using your speed, under any circumstances."
