I stood over the bodies. Over all the blood and I stared into the darkest eyes I had ever scene. His hand outstretched towards me. All the sounds had stopped I took a deep breath. Those were the eyes I used to trust but, I didn't know if I wanted to do that now. Did I want to take help from the darkness himself. His gaze didn't soften. I took a deep breath. I was hesitant but, I took his hand. I stood up and let go of his hand.

I went ahead and woke up. I saw the bright light above me. I was still here. I was still an experiment. I was still hurt and broken. The second time I was locked up.

"The darkling found his Sun summoner. Another disgusting grisha." The scientist scorned. I clenched my jaw. "But, you. You aren't disgusting. Far from it. You are actually useful because you are going to be the death of all of them. We are using their powers and when all of their breed is executed we kill you. Isn't that fun?" he asked chuckling like it was a hilarious thing. "But, we luckily had a spy who got the last power that we needed. The darkling's." He said. I looked at him panicked. "It's very little. I was able to extract it from the very little blood we managed to get. Lucky for you, you get it!" he says grinning like a manic. I already had enough powers combined. I had all the grisha powers but, they had restrained me in some special cuffs that absorbed the power causing me to not kill my captors. I took a deep breath.

I noticed two guards in the corner. They came up to me used a club and hit me in the stomach causing me cough and groan in pain. They lifted me and I could feel all that power. I struggled in their hold but, the best way to escape is to ensure that I looked like a failed experiment. So I began slowing my heart rate. I learnt to do it rather subtly. I could the beats slow. They inject me with the concoction. I screamed as I felt it hurt. I was all bones and no skin. They had starved me and tortured me for months that I was here. I closed my eyes and stopped my heart for two minutes and I went limp in the guards hold. They tried to revive me but, I resisted and absorbed the shocks. "Time of death 9 a.m." The scientist huffed and then he screamed kicking something in the room. I drew power from the rocks and chemicals I could feel in the air as I created an explosion.

The last I had heard was the sound of people or maybe guards rushing in and seeing the remains. They also had checked if I was alive. When they deemed I was dead they took me to edge of the cliff. But it had water below in the valley. I could sense it. I felt myself flung down. The wind slowed down my fall. I opened my eyes and smiled to myself as I was greeted by dolphins. I laid on top of one too weak to swim. They took me away from the Fjerda. When I woke up I was on a port. I looked around me and saw that I was sleeping on a fishnet. I got up and saw two stunned fishermen staring at me. I groaned as I got up. "Where am I?" I asked.

"Ketterdam." They replied. I nodded to acknowledge them as I realised that I was shivering. But, I walked into the town. I needed to find the Crow club.
