I slowly blinked as I saw the dark blue sky above me. Something felt wet against my face. I blinked a few more times until everything became clear. I groaned. I looked to my right and saw a goat. I frowned in confusion as I pushed his face away cause his licking was tickling me. I groaned as I sat up and saw the crows sitting by a fire. It was night time. That surprised me. "Gaia!" I heard Nina scream. "Don't scream. Please." I say with a soft smile as I stood up knowing she was going to hug me.

She slapped me right across the face causing me to fall back on the ground. I groaned. "OW! What was that?" I ask holding my cheek and getting up. "That was for the stupid act back there." She said and pulled me in for a tight hug. "OW!" I winced. "You should be glad you aren't hurt." Kaz said with a harsher glare than usual. "Well, I saved our lives didn't I?" I said with a sheepish smile. "With an impossible success ratio which is surprising." Matthias said as he narrowed his eyes. I didn't meet his eyes. "I think you mean improbable." I said with a smirk. They rolled their eyes. "Let's just get a move on." Kaz said.

Everyone was angry with me no doubt.

We reached Os Alta. Everyone looked tense and I knew this is something Niko wouldn't want. HE loved Ravka and he wanted to save it. I put my head down and walked through the crowd. We find a small cottage where we can plan the kidnapping.

There was a show of Alina's powers tonight and I would be going to it to see if everything is in place. I would ensure that everyone can find a inside job for another party later on in a few weeks time.

"This dress would look good on you." Inej said softly as she put the dress on the bed. The dress was a dark forest green and it looked beautiful. "Thank you." Inej hugged me, "You need to live to save Ravka so no more stunts. Not for us, not anyone, stay to save Ravka." She said with a soft smile. "I will."

That evening I wore the dress to the party with a mask.

I knew one thing. People would notice my eye colour because I had the most extraordinary eyes in all of the world. I was born soft golden sunshine eyes. I tried to find Genya in the crowd. She would be able to help me. I walked out to the back of the room to hide and blend in. I saw David. I sighed in relief. I walked over to his side and he seemed awkward. "Good to see you David." He looked at me and his eyes widened. I shut his mouth as I dragged him to a far corner of the palace. "You're here." He said shocked. "And I need help. I need to find Genya." "Why?" "Because no one needs to know I am here. Not yet." I said. "The general will be glad you are alive." "So will the mole in the palace who seems to be the reason I keep getting kidnapped. So, I am telling you find Genya for me immediately." I said. He nodded his head and within a few moments Genya was walking towards me. "I still don't understand what we are doing here." Genya said. "You will be happy with what I am going to show you. But, maybe more shocked." David answered. "I don't think so." Genya said. "He is right." I said. Her eyes snapped to mine and widened. "Gaia." She whispered in shock. She hugged me tight. I held her tight as I forced back my tears. She looked at me with tears streaming down her face. "You're here. You're okay." She said.
