Present.....
Year 2019, 8th of November.....

Mackenzie's pov:
"Happy Birthday Kenzie!" Mom greeted.
"Happy Birthday ate Kenz!" my cousin Skylar also greeted.
"thank you Mom, Sky" I thank them.
"im super happy right now, im finally 16! Sayang lang dahil wala si Dad" I said.
Sa 9 years na nagdaan, napractice ko narin ang pagta-Tagalog. Hindi man ako ganon ka-galing atleast nakakaintindi parin ako at syempre nakakapag salita ng maayos.
"yeah im super excited narin kasi uuwi na tayo in Philippines!" Skylar said excitedly.
"oh yeah, I almost forgot that" I said.
"Kenzie, we made a pinky promise, 9 years ago, remember?" my Mom asked.
"Mom! That was almost a decade ago!" I said a bit loud.
"and besides, im only 7 back then, diko pa alam pinagsasabi ko" I added
"are we seriously gonna keep that promise?" I asked.
"Mackenzie." my Mom said on a serious tone.
Uh oh.
"come on na ate Kenzie! Go make payag payag na! I badly wanna go back to Philippines na! Para new environment!" Skylar shouted. Ew such a conyo.
"na uh Sky. Na uh. Trust me, hindi mo magugustuhan sa Philippines. I only been there once, when i was super super bata pa, but i know Philippines is worst" I said.
"its not that WORST pero kung ayaw mo dito sa New York, mas lalong ayaw mo sa Philippines" I try to convice Sky to agree with me pero wala eh, gusto nya talaga sa Philippines.
"uy grabe ka ate Kenzie, Philippines is not that worst naman kaya" Sky said.
"Skylar's right Kenzie, sa Philippines ko nakilala Daddy mo, siguro kung hindi ako umuwi ng Pilipinas ay wala ka ngayon sa mundong ito" Mom said.
I frowned because of Mom being so cheesy.
"see ate Kenz? Im right, your wrong!" Skylar pissed me off.
"saka baka doon mo narin mahanap forever mo, what if maka-bungguan mo yung soulmate mo?" Sky said.
"tama na kayo, napaka cheesy nyo! And besides, hindi totoo ang soulmate Sky" I said.
"just make payag nalang, dami pa sinasabi" Sky rolled her eyes.
"arghh fine! Kelan alis!?" I asked angrily.
"yes!" Skylar happily cheered.
"just don't complain to me when we arrived at the Philippines" I said to Skylar.
Skylar just nodded while smiling.
"mamaya na agad tayo aalis, so pack your things na Kenzie" Mom said.
