Karina's P.O.V

I applied for dance class a day before Winter told us about their sudden leave. It kind of made me regret applying for it. I want to be with her so bad but it's already done and Winter made me stay and come with her after my session.

"Hey, back to training." Momo said. She was one of the dancers here. I've met many friends in this kind of class and they're fun to be with.

Plus, I already know a few people here like Seulgi Unnie, Hyoyeon Unnie, Yeji and my former friend, Lisa.

"Before we start our training, I'd like to introduce you to our new member that Lisa recruited." The trainor signalled someone at the door to enter. The reflection of the light covered the face of the new member but the posture and the way she walks, irritates me.

"Hi, I'm Ryujin. Please take care of me well." She smiled and diverted her gaze to me and smirked.

"Okay, Let's start." The trainor clapped their hands as we quickly gathered into our position to dance again.

It's already been 5 hrs since our last break time. It is now 5:30 and we will call it a day by 6 pm.

I miss Winter so much

"Let's pack up early for today since y'all did great even Ryujin." The trainor praised her which she loves the most. I just rolled my eyes and fix my things.

"Hey, Open your phone. Winter's looking for you." Yeji said before arranging her things.

I quickly opened my phone and saw my girlfriend's spam texts. I called her as soon as I read all of them while heading outside.

Fast Forward

2 weeks before the competition and the practice seemed to be getting harder because of new steps that the trainor kept on adding.

"I have an announcement to make to all of you..." The trainor looks her her tablet while we're all sitting on the floor. I knew there's gonna be an additional steps again but I didn't know it would be this bad.

"In the middle of the song, there will be 2 pairs that will have a couple dance before everyone dances again. I already have those 2 pairs based on your  performance lately." She swiped onto her tablet that looks like the list of the pairs.

"First is Seulgi and Lisa and The second pair is Karina and....." The trainor seemed to be having second thoughts for my partner.

Please let it be Hyoyeon unnie or Yeji.

"Ryujin." My eyes widened and I can see Ryujin smirking at me while fist-bumping with Lisa.

Is she doing this on purpose?

"Okay gather around and let's practice for the pairs. Others can rest continue practicing their parts." Everyone stood up and continue practicing.

"You okay?" Seulgi whispered at me before going to Lisa's side after I gave her an assuring smile and nod.

4 of us watched the dance and there's so many skinships. My girlfriend wouldn't like this especially it's my ex that I'm with.

"It was nice holding you again." Ryujin said after our trainor instructed her and Seulgi to hold our waist. It feels so uncomfortable and disgusting to be honest.

"Just shut up and dance." She just smirked with my words and dance without taking her gaze off of me.

"You should tell Winter about it." Yeji suggested. The practice was done earlier and we're now outside to eat dinner together.

"Yeah, before someone else tell her." The image of her getting mad at me is scary so I think I really should tell her now.

"I'll just call her." We're still waiting for our food so I excused myself for awhile to call her.

Ringing...

"Baby?" She spoke on the other line. I missed her so much.

"Jagi, are you free right now? There's something that I need to tell you." I can her hear sigh on the other line. I know she's nervous about what I'm gonna tell her but I need to.

"About the dance. There's a new member that joined last week in our group. And it was Ryujin."

"Mhm? and what happened?" I can hear her pen dropped into her table, like suddenly stopped whatever she was doing just to listen to me.

"Earlier there was a new step again and it was by pair. The trainor paired me with her." I'm so nervous and scared at the same time.

"Mhm"

"Is it okay with you, Jagi?" I asked her even though there's really nothing I can do about it, But I will try my best.

"Of course, it's just a dance right? I trust you, Baby. Don't worry too much, okay?" I really love this understanding side of hers. It makes me fall for her deeper and deeper.

"Okay, Jagi. Call me if you need something. I'm just eating dinner with Yeji and others." We bid our goodbyes to each other and went back to our friends and eat.

The competition is getting near and I'm so excited because I'm gonna see Winter again after a few weeks of not seeing each other.

Calling Winter...

"Hey what's up?" Her voice sounds so tired. I suddenly want to go there and take care of her for being work aholic. I decided to call her before I return to practice.

"I miss you, Jagi." That's all I could say after hearing her voice.

"Aw, I miss you more, Jagi." Suddenly, I felt secured and relieved because of what I heard.

"Anyway, there's something I needed to talk to you about..." Why do I have a bad feeling about this?

"Mhm?"

"I don't think I can go home next week to watch you perform. Schedule's kind of hectic and I hope you understand, Baby. But I will still try my best to come." My chest suddenly felt a pang when she said that. I have to admit, it's kind of disappointed because I expected her to come but I know I have to understand her.

"Love?" My thoughts were interrupted when she spoke again.

I don't know what to say.

"Oh. It's okay, I understand, Jagi. Let's just meet afte-" My words got interrupted by the sound from the other line.

"Hey, Win. Up for a drink tonight?" Someone said with a seductive voice. Insecurities got the best of me and many things entered my mind all at once.

"Sure, I'll just clean my desk. Wait for me at the couch." Winter responded, I can sense that she's smiling based on how she talks.

"Ria, I told you to come pick me up at my office but here you are inside Winter's office." Chaeryeong seemed to enter the office as well.

Who is Ria? Winter never told me about her.

"Babe, I'll call you back. We're just gonna drink tonight with others, okay? I love you, bye!"

"I love y-" She ended the call before I even tell her I love her.

I'm hurt by what happened. First, about Winter not coming back home for my competition and now about Ria who I seemed to be having a bad feeling about.

"Earth to Karina!" The trainor shouted that made me flinch a bit and hurried in the middle to practice.

I have to admit, I'm losing focus because of what happened and even Yeji is looking at me with a concerned look in her eyes.

Fuck.
