Sage looks back from running and sees everyone surrounding someone on the ground, the only one not there was Will. She swears to herself knowing she can't turn back to try and help. Instead, she gets to Cabin and gets in range with Dustin.
"Does anyone copy?" She yells into it.
"Say? You're still here!" Dustin says making Sage sigh in relief.
"I can't say anything here."
"Got it, well I've been calling a code read all day so meet me and Steve at the junkyard, ASAP."
"Steve Harrington?"
She turns it off when he starts to yell at she assumes Lucas.
Sage changes her clothes and grabs her walkie, a jacket and hops on her bike making her way to the junkyard.
To her surprise, not only is Lucas there. But Max too.
"We thought you left!" Max exclaims.
"Yeah, long story. Is this last year related?" Sage questions.
Lucas nods and Sage raises her eyebrows.
"So she-"
"-I know, not sure I believe any of this shit" Max interrupts.
"Yeah, I wouldn't either I guess."
They find Dustin and Steve with buckets of meat?
"Okay Dustin what the hell is this?"
Steve Harrington puts his hands up laughing.
"Not even a hello."
He goes back to throwing meat all over the floor.
"Darr grew again, he escaped and I'm pretty sure he's a baby demogorgon."
"We have a lot of work to do so come on!" Steve announces.
Dustin grabs Lucas and pulls him behind a car.
Sage follows them over.
"You told her?"
"So what? You wanted too."
"But I didn't."
"Have you heard from Mike or Will?" Lucas asks changing the subject.
"No."
"I saw them, something went down earlier. I think Will had another episode but Mike was with him."
"Will you look-"
"-Let her save her battery Lucas!"
They look over at Max.
"She didn't believe me anyway." Lucas says sadly.
"You probably didn't tell it right." Dustin smirks.
"So we good?" Lucas puts his hand out.
They jump at a bang and turn around,
"Hey dickheads! How come the only one helping me out is this random girl? We lose light in 40 minutes let's go!"
"Terribly sorry King Steve!" Sage says sarcastically.
"Let's go I said!" Steve yells back as he walks off.
They finish in just under an hour, they pile into the bus and wait. Lucas was sitting on the roof with his binoculars while the others sat down silently.
"So you really fought one of these before?" Max asks Steve.
"Yeah."
"And your totally sure it wasn't a bear?"
Sage sighs at her.
"Don't be an idiot, it wasn't a bear." Dustin snaps.
Sage sits up and scoffs before lifting her sleeve and showing her tattoo.
"Superpowers." She says unbothered.
This catches Steve and Max's attention.
"That's real? You're Eleven, Nance mentioned her." Steve exclaims.
"Seven. Dude, you fought a monster last year and you don't think I can have a tattoo."
He stares at her thinking of something to say but nothing comes out.
Sage rolls her eyes at him and looks out the window.
"Guys.."
They hear a low growl and Max climbs up to sit with Lucas.
"Lucas?" Sage calls up.
"Ten o'clock!" He shouts back.
"He's not taking the bait, why isn't he taking the bait?" Steve questions.
"Maybe he's not hungry?" Dustin wonders.
"I think he's sick of cow." Sage says sarcastically.
Steve grabs the bat and opens the doors.
"Dude? I was joking?"
Max jumps down.
"He's insane."
They all turn quickly when Lucas yells,
"Steve 3 o'clock!"
There wasn't just one now, there was multiple coming towards him.
He smacks one stupidly and they all come after him.
"You've got to be shitting me!" Sage exclaims barging past Dustin and Max.
"What the hell Levins?!" Steve shouts.
"My name isn't really Levins." Sage yells back.
She throws her hand out and flies the 5 that were covering the door away in one swoop.
She grabs hold of Steve's jacket and throws herself and him back into the bus.
Sage leans back onto the bus seat wiping her nose.
"That.. that was insane!" Steve splutters.
"Yeah, you're welcome asshole!"
Lucas jumps down to them.
"They're on the roof!" He gasps.
Max screams looking directly at one, Steve pushes her away showing off the bat and when Sage walks over, they start to leave.
"Jeez, they must be intimidated by you."
Steve states.
"Nah, surprisingly that's not it.." Sage's voice tails away as she steps out of the bus clapping her hands.
"Does she not have fear?" Max whispers.
The two boys shake their heads.
"They're all just gone?" Sage says confused.
"They're going somewhere"
