A year later,
A taller, more spritely twelve year old girl lay on the sofa with her headphones and walkman. Her darker blonde hair braided further past her shoulders.
The front door opens without the special knock and Chief Jim Hopper enters the cabin, he takes a beer from the fridge and moves to the couch swiftly lifting his daughter- Sage Hopper's legs and placing them on his lap.
"Hey Say-Say"
He says and she removes her headphones just in time for a loud giggle to exclaim from the room beside them making Sage groan.
"Would you get another room seriously?"
She yells making the music which had been blasting from her shared room turn on and off constantly.
"Stop it Amelia!" Eleven shouts
"Don't call me that!" She shrieks back.
Eleven slams the door shut with her mind causing Hopper to stand abruptly, he starts to bang on the door.
"3 inches El! Open this door"
After a moment of silence, the door clicks and swings open, Sage peers in and sees Mike Wheeler sitting on the opposite end of her sisters bed- giving Hopper an innocent look.
"What's up?" Mike asks with a smirk.
Sage grabs a couch cushion and throws it directly at Mike's head.
"Three Inches."
Hopper snaps and storms back to the couch.
"They were obviously making out."
Sage mumbles adding a new tape to her walkman.
Twenty minutes later,
Mike walks out of the bedroom
"I'm off to meet the party."
He mutters with his head down.
Sage grabs his arm before he walks out and he looks up surprised, they we're always the best friends- but even since he's been obsessed with her sister, they've drifted.
"Where?" She demands.
"The movies?" He replies confused.
Sage whips her head towards Hopper.
"Can I please go dad!"
He thinks for a moment and then smiles.
"Fine, but your not walking home, I'll come get you okay?"
"Thank you!"
She rushes out with Mike and skates along him to Starcourt Mall.
When they meet the group everyone smiles.
"You were allowed?!"
Max Mayfield, her best friend exclaimed excitedly.
"Yeah-" She starts walking beside her into the Mall.
"Because someone wouldn't stop making out with my sister!"
She continues loud enough for Mike to hear and causing the rest of the group to burst out laughing.
"Come on we're late." Mike says brushing her off.
They walk into Scoops-Ahoy, the ice-cream store. A teenager who looked very annoyed was at the counter, Sage jumps over the counter and scoops herself an ice-cream.
"Hey dingus! You're children are here, this one has gone feral again."
She calls out walking into the backroom.
Steve Harrington walks passed her, he snatches the scooper away from Sage and puts his hands on his hips.
"Again, seriously?" He asks the kids who were smirking at him.
He beckons them over to the back door where there was an entrance to the movie theatre so they wouldn't have to pay.
