Gandalf could see that she was telling the truth about what was going to happen in the future. There was no mistaking it now after she had told him a few minutes before. The foresight of the elves were a very rare thing and the most oldest of elves had that sight. Gandalf knew the longevity of life but it can be chosen if they would side with the race of men or the race of elves. It was to choice of the elf to chose a side of men or elves. Zarneleane was at the midway point of her life where she knew right from wrong, where every course of action warrants a reaction, every action has a consequence that will happen later on. She also knew that she could die at the end of a sword or any other weapon that anyone carries. It was late into the night as Barliman came over to talk to them.

"Are you sure?"

"I have foreseen it. I can't shake the feeling of something that will go wrong."

"What feeling do you have?"

"That elven blood will be lost during the battle as he will be suffering from the gold sickness that his grandfather had before him."

Zarneleane got quiet as he got to the table while she thinks of what could happen in the future.

"Miss, I have to clean the tables and put the chairs on them."

"I understand. You should get some sleep, Mithrandir."

"What about you, Lady Starbrooke. What will you do?"

"I will stay up and guard the place until you are ready to leave on the journey. Although I might leave early since I don't want Thorin to find me here."

"Understandable. Well, it has been a long night and I will get some sleep now." he said as he got up from the table.

Zarneleane got up from the table and went to the corner with the window. She was going to sit there for a while and guard the place until it was time to go. She was going to act as a shadow for Gandalf when he gave her a sign to act as a shadow. Zarneleane nodded to him as he smiled at her before heading up the stairs.

Upstairs, in Thorin's room as he was thinking about the cloaked figure that was sitting in front of Gandalf. He began to think, "Who was that person who sat in front of Gandalf. I guess that I will find out later. Well, I guess that I will go to sleep now."

Gandalf walked up the stairs to his room and thought of something He had a lot of things to plan while heading to the Shire. It had been a long day for Gandalf, Thorin, and Zarneleane.

Back in the large dining hall of The Prancing Pony, Zarneleane sat there looking out the window. She sat there as Barliman cleaned up the place for the next night. The tavern tabby came up to her and sat on her shoulder while she petted him under his chin when he started to purr. The tabby rubbed up against Zarneleane's cheek as she continued to look out the window. After a while the tabby left her alone to wander off somewhere else.

Hours later, she went up to her room and gathered her things before anyone caught her. Putting her hood on before she closed the door while she was caught by the exiled dwarf king of Erebor. Heading to the window and opening it, she lept out of the window and landed there on the ground with ease as she ran off into the dark.

Zarneleane managed to give the exiled dwarf king the slip as she ended up in Jasmine's garden. She was going to have to go to the west gate and wait it out for the rest of the night. After walking through the streets, she got to the west gate and waited for the sun to rise. When the sun rose, she was going to have to get her horse which happened to be not far from where she was. Leaping up over the wall that was the way from the west gate, Zarneleane climbed up into a tree and take a break from it all. Resting there, Zarneleane wished that she was under the night sky in Rivendell.
