Chapter # 13- A sign of good faith

He points to Thorin while he is there. The others were trying to hold on to the branches.

"That one is mine. Kill the others." ***

The wargs attack and start jumping up to catch the dwarves that were hanging off the trees.

"Drink their blood!"

The wargs managed to topple the trees over, Gandalf starts lighting pine cones on fire, turning them into fire bombs and throwing them at the wargs who start backing off. He lights more of them and passes them to the dwarves.

"Fili!"

They start throwing the fire cones at the wargs and they back off even more then the dwarves start cheering.

In wasn't long before one of the trees that the dwarves are on suddenly sags under their combined weight and starts to fall off. The tree hands over the edge of the cliff with some of the dwarves hanging on to the branches of the tree, including Dori who's about to fall off.

"Mister Gandalf! Aah!"

He suddenly falls off but Gandalf managed to catch him using his staff as the rest of them continue to hold on to the branches for dear life. Thorin decides to take on Azog alone and runs up to him but he was pushed down by his warg.

"Noooooo!" Balin cries out.

The white warg bites Thorin and Dwalin tries to aid him but can't. The branch that he was on breaks under him and he hold on. Thorin is easily defeated, then he is thrown aside. The sword ended up near his hand but he couldn't reach it. Azog instructs one of the orcs that was to his left.

"Biriz torag khobduol."**

As the orc is about to behead Thorin, suddenly Bilbo rushes in and attacks the orc. Pushing him out of the way while using his sword to stab and kill the orc while saving Thorin's life in the process. After killing the orc, Bilbo faces Azog and Zarneleane stands thee with him."

"Kill him."

While the orcs move in on Bilbo, the rest of the dwarves rush in to fight. Bilbo fights some of the orcs while Zarneleane is not far from him. He gets tossed to the ground while Zarneleane stands in front of him and defends him. Some of the dwarves fall from the tree and the Eagles have arrived. They came at the right time and they save the rest of the dwarves. The Eagles start to take some of the other wargs off the cliff and releasing them away from the rest of them. Most of them used the flames to set some of them on fire as the wargs ran away. The eagles got most of the dwarves and Gandalf was saved by one of the Eagles and the tree feel away. One of the Eagles got Bilbo and placed him onto another Eagle that was flying below. Avoiding most of the weapons, Zarneleane runs in and grabs Thorin's shield. At that moment, Shikoba came in and she got into the saddle while he carried her to the edge. There was enough lift for him as one of the wargs chased him but ended up falling off the edge of the cliff. Settling on the saddle while she tied the shield to her saddle and taking the reins to guide him away from the cliff. As they fly away, Azog wasn't to happy with the outcome of everything that has happened.

As they were on their way to another place, Zarneleane had enough time to enchant Thorin's shield. It was a bad thing that Thoirn had to face Azog alone and without help from others. It was a foolish thing to do as Fili and Kili looked at their uncle who was still unconscious while being held by a eagle. Shikoba flew near them while holding onto his shield and Kili looked at it while it was there. The shield was hanging near her leg as she was not far from them. Then she moved away from them and got near Gandalf.

"They are worried for their uncle. I can see it in heir eyes. They fear that he might not make it if we are going to Erebor."

"I see. But what about Bilbo if I heal Thorin? I understand."
