~Bruce's POV~
I'm sitting in the library waiting for Vance to show up and when I see him walking into the library he looks like he's in pain so I get up and walk up to him
"You alright vance?" I ask while walking next to him
"Yea I'm fine I just got into a fight"
"You sure?-"
"Yes im fine" he says
He keeps walking and sits at the table that has my stuff all over it
"I have English stuff" he says throwing it on the table
I walk over too and sit down then lick the book up
"Oh this stuff is easy! You got this" I say sliding it towards him
"You just have to write in some of the problems I'm the formula" I say pointing to it
"Really?" He says
"Well yea there's some words that describe what it wants you to do like these" I say pointing at the words
"Oh" he says staring at it
He takes the pencil I'm holding and starts to mumble then writing
He then slides the paper to me
"That?" He says as I read it
"Yea! Good job" I say smiling and see him crack a smile then it fades
"You can smile vance, I won't tell" I say slightly laughing
I see him crack another amine and cover his mouth
"I'm not smiling, show me what's next" he says as I hear Robin walk in with finn
"Hey Rob" I say while looking down at the paper
"Here vance" I say pointing at another problem and slide it back
I hear him mumble again and I look at Robin
"Sooo how's it goin with math?" I say
"Good" he says shrugging
"Anyways I gotta go but I talk to y'all later,bye vance" he says and I look back at vance to see him still writing
I grab another pencil and start drawing
"Done" I hear and the paper is slid next to me
"Oook" I say taking it and reading it
"Good job again!" I say smiling
Vance just looks away "thanks.." he mumbles
I grab a few things out of the folder
"Do these and I'll be right back ok?" I say sliding the paper towards him and see him nod as I stand up.
I walk out of the library and to the bathroom
I walk inside and see a kid being picked on
"Leave him alone,go make vance or Robin mad if you wanna fight" I say walking into a stall
"Oh if your so tough fight me" the boy says
"I'm good I'm just saying if you want a fair fight go fight them unless your too much of a pussy" I say
I hear him scoff and walk out
"Thanks Bruce" I hear
"You know my name?" I say
"You won the last game of baseball last season of course I know your name" he says
I chuckle and walk out and to the sink
"But thank you though" the boy says who now I can see
"Yea it's easy" I say
I dry off my hands and walk back to the library.
I see Vance still working and I go back to the table
"How's it goin vance?" I say
"Fine" he says practically ignoring me
I chuckle again and sit down
"Well we're almost done if you wanna take a break" I say
He looks up and slides the pages to me

"Nah I'm done anyways" he say pushing the pencil back
"Everything?" I say and he nods
I lift up the papers and scan over them
"Holy shit vance, it's all correct and that was fast!"
He laughs a little while coving his face
"Ok ok shut up" he says
I laugh and stuff the papers into the folder
"Go turn them in! The teachers should still be here! I'll come with" I say standing up
"Why can't you do it?" Vance groans
"Because it's your work vance" I say grabbing the folders of work
"Fineee" he says standing up
I hand him the folders and start to walk out
He stops for a second and let's out a sigh as he grips onto his side
"You alright?" I say stopping and turning to him
"I'm fine" he says standing up and walking past me.
I feel bad because he won't tell me but I'm not in the mood to get punched again
I follow him to his classes and watch his teachers shock as he turns in work
His last teacher, Mr Robbins, teases him for a second
"Wow! Finally turning some work in Vance" he says
"Yea no shit" vance says handing the folder to him
"Well I need to look while your here because I see Bruce!" He says looking at me with a weird smile "can we hurry this up I got places to be" vance says
"I can go slowerrrr" he says and Vance groans
Once he checks over all the work he stands up
"Great job Vance" he says about to pat Vance's shoulder but Vance grabs his wrist
"Don't touch me" he says dropping Mr robbins hand
"Oh alright we'll goodbye" he says
Vance sorta waves and walks out and past me.
"Fuckin hate him" vance says as I catch up to him
"Yea yes odd but good job that's all you had" I say lifting my hand up
He looks at me and then my hand then me again
He lightly high fives me then looks back infront of him
"Vance your not that bad of a guy" I say and he turns to me and gets close to me
"Don't think I'm fuckin weak" he says shoving his hand into my face
"I don't vance I know you could beat the shit out of me if you wanted to" I say lifting my hands up in defense
"Good" he says walking off infront of me
I sigh and run my hand through my hair
I thought we were getting closer but I guess he just needs more time.
We get back to the library and he walks straight to Robin as he's leaving
"Ay wanna come hang out today?" Robin asks vance
"Sure"
"Bruce you wanna come?" Robin says looking at me
"Sure!" I say
I follow them as finn runs up
"You guys almost left me" he says before punching robins shoulder
"Asshole" finn says
Robin laughs and so does vance
I look at his face and for the first time I think he's actually smiling
I smile too and continue to follow them
I hear them talking and every once In awhile they all laugh
A few things I understood so I laughed too
They said that they were going to go see a new band called Metallica that is a small rock band at this bar tonight
"You wanna come bruce?" I hear Robin ask
"To a bar? Uh sure I just can't have anything" I say
"Damn that's sad but alright" he says
"Finn stop for a second" Robin says before he digs into Finn's bag and pulls out a pencil and paper then uses finn bag to write down something
"Here" he says handing it to me
"Oh thanks" I say as I look at it and it has a place written down on it
"To get in just say your getting terry,Pam or Marty to come home" Robin says
"Well cya tonight!" He yells and I see vance turn and wave at me with a small smile
I smile too and fold the paper nicely and tuck it into my pocket.
I start to walk my own way and pull the paper out again and see something written in small letters
"Make sure to dress in either black,denim or have a jean jacket, vance thinks it's cool-Robin'
Pfft alright then
I don't think I have much black but I do have a denim jacket so I'll wear that with some cargo pants.
I put the note neatly back into my pocket and continue my walk home.
