~Vance's POV~
I'm thinking of slowly hitting on bruce to see what he'll do.
It's still storming out and he's half asleep while I'm sitting next to him watching Tv.
I stand up,walk over to him and pick him up, I know it's not much but I feel like it's a start
I pick him up as his eyes slightly open and look at me
"Vance..? What are you doing?" He says as I carry him into my room and lay him on my bed
"Go back to sleep bruce" I say pushing the hair out of his face and coving him with a blanket
He mumbles something as he pulls the blanket up and his eyes close again
I smile as I watch it and lay next to him
Even though we're just friends and I like him a shit ton, laying next to each other and cuddling or whatever is normal? I guess
I lay with my back to his and close my eyes and drift off to sleep as well.

(That morning)
"Vance..Vance..Vance get your ass up!" I hear as I sit up
"What..?" I say as I wipe my eyes and see Bruce running around
"I forgot to dry my stuff, give me some clothes to borrow for today I'll bring them back" he says
It takes me a second but I look over at the clock in my room
"Bruce, it's 5Am" I say
"I know! School starts at 6:30" he says
I stand up and stretch my arms and see him staring at me
"What?"
"You took your shirt off? Really" he says
I look down
"Oh yea I forgot I did that" i say laughing a little
I walk to my closet and grab my smaller clothes since he just doesn't have as much muscle as me so he can't fill out my shirts
"Here" I say passing him jeans and a tight shirt
"Thanks" he says starting to change as I look back
I grab out jeans too and a tank top
I put them on and turn around
"What do you want for food? We can stop by the gas station if you want" I say
"Uhhh sure" he says
I walk out of my room and into the bathroom
I grab my brush and start to brush the matted mess my hair already is
"Go from the bottom of your hair to the top" bruce says walking by
Ok?
I start doing that and it hurts a lot less
Huh that worked
Once I'm done I throw it into a ponytail and walk out to see Bruce putting his shoes on
"I normally go for a run but I should be fine missing a few mornings" he says
"Oh ok" I say as I grab my shoes and start putting them on
Once we both have our shoes on we walk out of the house as I see him sigh
I look at him and how the pants hug around his waist and grin
"You wanna race?" I say
He looks at me and grins to
"Hell yea, last there has to pay"
"3..2- go!" I yell starting to run
He yells 'hey!' And starts running after me
I also might have doomed myself since he's fast as hell because he passes me like it's nothing
I laugh as we keep going for a few minutes until we get there and he's already waiting for me
"Sooo I guess your paying?" He says not even out of breath
"First off *pant* how the fuck *pant* are you not out of breath?" I say
He laughs "I'm in baseball and I workout a lot you know that" he says smiling
I groan as he walks inside and I follow
He walks to the back and grabs a water and a samwhich.
I grab a pop and a pack of gum then walk to the front
"Is this all?" The guy at the front says
"Can I get some marble lights too?" I say pointing behind him and he nods
He turns around and puts the on the counter
"Your total is 6 dollars" he says as I put it on the counter and Bruce glares at me as we walk out
"What?" I say
"I know you smoked weed and I didn't care but cigarettes? Come on Vance" he says
I roll my eyes
"It's not that bad" I say taking one out but he grabs it
"Nah it's not just bad it's awful" he says throwing it
I groan "come on it's how I get through my day"
"If you light that I swear" he says
I groan again and put them away
"Thank you"
I'm only doing it for you so you better be damn happy
I start to see the school and Bruce starts to talk again
"I'll see you later for tudoring right?" He asks
And I nod
"Sure" I say
He smiles and runs off and up to his friends
I sigh and as I walk into the school kids all look at me which is normal.

They all look away once I glare at them but I walk to my locker and put the cigarettes inside of it then grab a notebook
I'll just draw and throw shit at the teacher

I start to walk to my first class which is geometry, it's easy I just don't wanna do it
I walk in and sit in the back before hearing my name
"Vance hopper please come to my desk" I see the teacher say
I get up and walk up to her
"What" I say crossing my arms
"You have a lot of overdue stuff can I-"
I toss all of the work onto her desk
"Here" I say before walking away
People really think I'm stupid but I'm not.
I go sit back down and start doodling on the piece of paper
I see Robin walk in and sit next to me
"Since when you in here?" He says smiling
"Bruce" I say not looking up
"Oooo doin stuff for him? How sweet" he says and I look up and glare at him
"Sorry sorry" he says
He takes out a book and starts writing what's on the bored as I put my head down and try to sleep but the teacher walks around and slaps the table
I sit up,grab my stuff and start to walk out
"Hopper where are you going?" She says
"Leaving, bye" I say as I walk out and hear the class laughing including Robin

I wander around and see Bruce talking to a teacher and his face drop
I walk up to them as the teacher walk into the office and him lean on a wall and cover his face
"Bruce you ok?" I say walking up to him
He looks at me teary eyed and stands up
He walks to the bathroom and signs me to follow him and I do
Once we're inside he breaks down and hugs me
Fuck
How do I help?
I wrap my arms around him
"Ay it's uh alright just tell me what happened" I say as he lifts his head
"My mom got into a car crash and we don't know if she's gonna survive!" He says as he starts sobbing again into my chest
I hug him and lock the bathroom door since nobody's in here except us.
He continues to cry and I feel him gasp so I grab his chin and see him grabbing his hair.
"Bruce hey don't do that-" I say grabbing his hands and hold them
He gasps as tears keep falling
I cup his face and wipe the tears away as I pull him into another hug
He gasps a few more times before his breathing is still fast but he's not gasping for air anymore
I pull his chin off of me again and see tears still flowing down his face and use my thumb to wipe them off again
"Bruce..?"
He looks at me and sniffles
"I'm sorry Vance-" he says
"Why are you sorry?" I say as he meets my gaze with watery eyes
"Because I'm crying and- I'm the one who helps you your not supposed to help me" he says
I grab his face
"Bruce, if you help me I'm helping you because I can't just let you cry" I say
He sighs and wiped his face off
Should I?
I can't but I really want to
Vance I swear
I-

It might help I doubt it but
It's a little more than just a hint

I make Bruce look at me and pull his face closer to mine and peck his lips
I pull back as he stares at me
I stare back and stand up
He doesn't say anything but stare so I unlock the door and run out
Fuck
Why did I do that?!
I keep running till I reach the back of the school and sneak out
I take a deep breath as I grab my head
"What the fuck was I thinking"
I groan
"I need to talk to Robin" I say as I walk back into the school
"I'll wait for him after his last class" i say as I hide in the back of the gym that nobody uses.
I end up falling asleep and hearing the last bell so  I run out to find him and see Bruce
"Vance wait-" he says but I run off and grab Robin and drag him into the bathroom
I lock the door and check the stalls and see nobody
"Jeez Vance what's your problem-"
"I kissed Bruce" I say and he stares at me as well
"Quit staring at me! What do I do?!" I yell
He stops and sighs
"Well what did he do?" Robin says
"He stared at me"
"Wait did you ask?"
"Well no-"
"That's why" he says
I groan
"Go find and talk to him" he says
"What?! Hell no I'm not talking to him after that" I say and Robin shakes his head
"You have too" he says
"I'll hide in here while you do if that helps" he says
"And I can find him for you" he says unlocking the door
"Please" I say and he nods walking out
I wipe my face and groan again

A few minutes later Robin walks back in with Bruce
"Vance? Can we talk?" He says as Robin walks back out
"Look I'm sorry" I say
He looks at me
"Vance I knew I just didn't know you were going to do that so that's why I didn't say anything" he says
He grabs my hand
"Vance I don't mind just, tell me next time"
"Bruce I fucking like you do you not get that" I say pushing his hand off
"I do" he says
I look at him and he smiles
I look away once he looks back at me
"Well you must be lying because you feel bad" I say
"Vance if I was lying why would I not care?" He says stepping closer to me
"Well- I" I say as I feel heat go to my face
He grabs my chin and turns my face to his
He smiles again "may I?" He says and I nod
He pulls the back of my head in and connects our lips
I melt into it and he keeps one hand on the back of my head and one on my cheek before breaking it the kiss
"I'm not gonna be here for a few days but please know that I'm not mad" he says before letting go and walking out
Robin walks in after him
"Sooo?" He says
"He kissed me again" I say
Robin grins
"Fuckin knew ittttt" he says pushing me
I blush again
"You never saw this or heard this" I say pushing him out of the way and walking out
He walks after me and all I can feel is embarrassment but I'm also happy
