~Bruce's POV~
I wake up to vance panting in the early morning and see him gripping his hair while he's sweating
I get up and go over to him
"Vance? Vance look at me" I say as he whips his head towards me and I see he has tears in his eyes
"Ay ay don't cry it's alright, he's dead remember?" I say grabbing his hands off his head
He shakes his head no as I grip his hands because he try's to rip them away
"Vance look at me" I say grabbing his chin and put eyes meet
"Breath with me" I say taking a deep breath in and he takes a shaky one in
I let it out and his comes out shaky as well
We do this 5 times before he finally calms down
"Im sorry bruce- that was embarrassing" he says taking his hands away from mine
"No no Vance it's alright it's gonna happen and I can't just let you freak out" I say
We hear the door open and a doctor walks in
"You two alright? Vance's heart beat was racing" she says looking at us
"Oh he just had a-" Vance slaps a hand over my mouth
"I'm fine you can go" he says glaring at her
She nods and leaves
"Vance you gotta quit being rude" I say looking back at him
"People know your not completely you so nightmares are gonna happen" I say
"Nah I can't have people thinking I'm weak." He says sternly
It's quiet for a second
"Did the grabber call you weak?" I say and his eyes meet my gaze
"I- I don't wanna talk about it right now" he says looking down
I nod
"Sorry I just though I should ask"
He nods as well and sighs
"But can I tell you something?" He says still looking down
"Sure" I say
You know how Robin knew I was at his house?"
I nod
"I almost made it out and I yelled as loud as I could,I thought nobody heard it but Robin did" he says and I can see himself smile
"He's actually the reason I'm alive since he was going to kill me if the cops waited any longer"

"Robins just that good isn't he" I say chuckling
He nods
"And don't think of this in a rude way but I think of you as another Robin- just better at wording things and your just a good"
He says but stops
"It's getting to sappy for me" he says laughing
I laugh a little too
"Your just nice" he says
"We'll try to get some sleep alright? I'll get you some food" I say standing up
"Can you go to like a gas station? Food here sucks ass" he says I laugh again and nod
"Sure, it's just gonna be a little longer then" I say and he mumbles something as he lays back down
I grab my shoes that I had taken off last night and slip them on
I look at Vance again and see he's already asleep
"At least he doesn't have insomnia" I mumble
I walk out and close the door.
Once I walk out I see the same nurse from before staring at me
"What?" I say
"We're you two doing gay things?" She says and I cross my arms
"Dude he had a panic attack, why's your mind so gross" I say walking away and hear her scoff
Jeez I though people would understand that Vance for once isn't ok
I walk out of the hospital and grab my bike from the rack of others outside.
I get on it and start to peddle my way to the closet gas station.
I mind as well call Robin while im there so he can go see Vance too.
I keep peddling and look over to see the faint sun rise
I sigh and breath in
"Man I haven't been out in awhile plus my dads gonna kill me when I get home" I say laughing lightly
I see the gas station and speed up.
Once I get there I put my bike on the wall and walk inside.
Once im inside I look around and see a pay phone next to the cashier
I walk over to it,put in 50c then call Robin
It buzzes for a second then I hear
"Alejandro house" from a tired voice
"Heyyy Robin" I say
"Oh shit Bruce?" He says sounding more awake
"Hows Vance? He good?" He says
"Yea he's good" I say
"I'm just getting him food and visitor hours are open plus he gets out today so you can go see him" I say and hear him yell for someone
"Alright I'll cya soon" he says before ending the call
I put the phone down then walk to the back and grab a pop.
I walk in the isles and find a samwhich so I grab it then walk up to the counter
"2 bucks" he says and I pass it over
He nods and I grab them and walk out.
I put it in the small basket on the back of my bike and start to ride back to the hospital
I look around again and peddle faster
It's still odd being out this early just like it is late.
I get back to the hospital and see robins bike
"Damn he was fast"
I grab my stuff from the basket and put my bike on the rack then walk inside
The nurse eyes me again as I walk past and I flip her off
She can suck my dick if she doesn't get it
I walk over and back into Vance's room where I hear loud talking
I see Robin talking or more like yelling something in Spanish as Vance looks embarrassed.
"Ooh hey Bruce" he says looking at me
"Got ya food" I say holding it up
"Fuck yesss" Vance says as I laugh and walk over to him and hand it over
He takes it and starts to eat it once it's open
"So what we're you two talking about?" I ask
The room stays silent as Robin and Vance exchange glances
"What?" I say
"Nothing" Robin says smiling
"Buttt I have plans for us later since schools off for a bit bc of Vance's disappearance" he says looking at both of us
Vance rolls his eyes
"Don't call it that" he says
"Sorry sorry, but you get out at 2 right?" Robin asks and Vance nods
Huh I didn't know that but eh whatever
"And itttssss...12 now so start getting up" Robin says pulling on Vance's arm
"Ay quit" he says slapping robins hand lightly
I laugh and so does Robin
"Well I'll tell Bruce where it's at for later" he says walking to me
"We're going to the arcade on boon" he whispers and I smile then nod.
Robin waves bye as he walks out
"Where we goin" Vance says immediately
"I am not telling you that BUT I will go get your clothes" I say grinning as he groans
I walk out and hear him still asking where
I laugh to myself and walk up to the front desk
"Hey I'm here for Vance hopper? I just need his things" I say as they look me up and down then walk to the back and come out with a bag
"There's a new shirt and pants in here, his other belongings or whatever was on him is in here" they say handing it to me.
I take it and smile as I go back to Vance's room
"Alright,you got a free new shirt and pants so wooo" I say throwing the bag at him
He rolls his eyes
"Yea sooo happy" he says taking the shirt out and almost laughs
"Hey I got a D&D shirt" he says laughing
I go over and cover my mouth as it's a really cringey shirt
"That sucks, what pants did they give you?" I ask and he takes them out
"Huh not bad, ripped jeans" he says looking at the size
"Alright no get out so I can change" he says as he slowly moves his legs over the side of the bed
"I'm going" I say as I walk out
I close the door behind me and play with my hands as I wait
I hear a 'you can come in' so I walk back in
"Ok so I might need a little help because my arms won't go much farther than my sides" he says and I laugh as I walk back to him
"Oh shut up bruce" he says as I pull the shirt over his head and help his arms through
"Just a reminder, I'm not weak alright?" he says looking me sternly
I sigh "yes Vance your not weak" I say as he grabs his shoes and slides them on
"Good" he says as he Ty's his shoes.
"Alright it's almost 1 yea?" He says and I look at the clock
"Yep"
He stands up
"Let's go walk around, I forgot how to walk" he says as he slowly walks towards me and past.
"Here" I say walking up to him and putting his arm around my shoulder
He grips onto it and uses me to walk
"Alright come on I gotta walk somehow" he says letting go of me
"You sure?"
"My legs fine, I tried to run with it anyways" he says shrugging
