⇢ive missed you

~third POV~
Vance, after finally getting the father figure he had always wanted, started acting differently with people.
He started to become more conversational, calmer, just all around more of an extrovert.
Bruce has seen this and it made him so happy.

As the two got older, Bruce would always smile whenever vance would mess around with Robin and Finn's kid, her name was Eliza, they used a surrogate so she looks exactly like Robin.
Vance was so sweet to the little girl, he would run around with her, carried her on his shoulders, and every time after they left Finn's house, he would look at bruce and say
"God, I want to make sure that girl gets whatever she wants, she is going to have the best dads cuz she already does, and the best, very bad influence, uncle" with a smile, vance smiles a lot more now that he has grown.

Caleb is a big part of both of their lives now too, Bruce and Vance go stay out with Caleb once every other month to get away from their own lives.

Vance grew to around 5,10
Bruce, around 6ft
Finn 5,10 also
And Robin, 5,7

Finn had never stopped making fun robins height, Robin acts like he's mad but secretly loves that finn messes with him.

~Bruces POV~
I'm driving down this long ass dirt road, in Vance's car, which, is soooo much smoother then mine is but it dosent matter.
We are going to see finn and them sooo I can forget about the dumb car thing for now
"Bruce"
"Hm?" I say looking over for a second at the voice next to me.
"You forgot to turn"
I look at the road and see us pass the road named, 'helix Rd'
"Oh come on you could of told me" I say pushing on the breaks as vance laughs
"Nah it's better when you forget"
I roll my eyes at him and make a U-turn in someone's driveway.
Finn and Robin live farther out then we do which is annoying when all the roads leading to their house besides highways are dirt roads.

After I turned on helix road, I see something fly past us, going way faster.
"The hell was that?" I say
"I think it was Rob, they said they just got a razor thing, I dono all I know is that it's fast" he says shrugging
Whatever

(2 minutes later)

We pull into their driveway and low and behold, is the razor vance wouldn't stop telling me how fast it was, it's so fun to listen to his little rants.
He does it whenever he finds something cool and I don't think he knows he does it so I don't plan on telling him anytime soon.
I park the car and we both step out.
"Finally, y'all drive like old people fuck" Robin says walking out of the garage.
I watch vance roll his eyes and smile
"Ayyy Hey miss Eliza" I hear him say, squatting down, as Eliza runs up to him.
"Uncle V!" She screams, jumping into his arms.
"How old are you now?" Vance says picking her up
"Your so silly, you know I'm 6" she says with a smile
"Really? I thought you were 4"
"Noooo!" She yells tapping Vance's cheek

I chuckle and walk to Robin.
"It's sweet to see him get along with her that well"
Robin nods
"Yea, I always knew that he would be good around kids"
I hear steps behind me and look back to see finn with a smile
"Hey guys, I'm glad you could drive out, sorry it's so far" he says with a laugh
I shrug
"Not a problem, plus Eliza's having fun"
Finn walks up and then gasps before running up to vance and catching Eliza
"Jesus vance your gonna drop her" he says setting Eliza on the grass
"Oh don't get all mad, I was 2 seconds away from catching her and I always used to throw her in the air when she was a baby"
"It's fun!" Eliza yells with a smile
I sigh with a smile

(A few hours later)

~Robins POV~
Me,finn,Bruce and Vance have all had a few drinks when vance wandered off, saying he had to use the bathroom.
After awhile bruce went to go check on him and found him asleep on Eliza's floor, holding one of her dolls and Eliza curled up to him, also holding a few dolls of her own.

Bruce runs out
"Come here, both of you, right now" Bruce says
I'm thinking 'ah shit vance is hurt'
So I get up and run over just to see that, which is adorable yes, I took pictures, but Jesus did it scare me
"Jesus fuck Bruce" I whisper before covering my face with my hand
Finn chuckles and walks into the room.
He bends down and try's to pick Eliza up but Vance just wraps his arm tighter around her.
"Vance let go" I hear him whisper
"Oh fuck off" I hear a mumble from Vance
Both me and Bruce started laughing so we had to move away, but after a minute, finn got Eliza into her bed and Vance up off the floor.

"Come on, your like a 5 year old leaving her friend at the damn park" finn says helping Vance up.
"No the hell I ain't, I was playing with her cuz she wanted to play dolls"
I see Bruce smile
He always looks so happy when vance protects or just is gentle with her, or any kid.

There was this one time, when they were on a date and a kid ran up to them sobbing saying he couldn't find his mom, so Vance picked him up and brought him to this like food court area, and did all the stuff to try and find him his mom, but when he did, he was just slapped by her, because she thought he was being creepy because he was holding the boy, pointing out women, trying to see who the mother was

Vance still helps people who are in need, but won't touch or even get to close to them because of that.
Everyone's told him he was doing the right thing but he just won't listen.

Bruce also says he's trying to plan something, I don't know what, but he's been acting weird so I'm hoping it's something.

(Later, aka around 10:30PM)

~Bruces POV~
I go lay down in the guest bed that Finn's letting us use with Vance, and brush a curl out of his eyes.
"Hey V"
"Hm"
I smile down at him and he smiles back
"What's up? You look sad" he says looking at me
"Nothing" I say
I'm not sad, I'm just so happy to have him.
He loves me for me and me only.
He's proven this time and time again by taking me on wonderful dates, full of things I love.
He shows me the stars and does all of the wonderful things, and I do as much as I can back, he loves them all.
And even if he has awful hand writing, he writes me little letters and scatters them around our apartment.

I snap out of my trance when I feel his lips against mine.
I blink then close my eyes as I put my hand on his warm cheek.
He then breaks the kiss and looks he in the eye again.
"Bruce, are you sure your ok?"
I smile at him once again
"Yes, I'm sure" I say with a smile as I feel my eyes start to tear up, vance immediately sits up and cups my face
"Hey hey hey, this does not seem like your ok"
I shake my head and lean my hand into his touch
"I'm just so glad that I've got you in my life"
He smiles and kisses my forehead
"I'm glad too, but no crying, your gonna make me cry you asshole" he says with a laugh, I laugh also.
I've been wanting to do something for a long time now

His ring finger is kind of empty
