Peter has known Y/n for as long as he can remember. In fact she was the first person besides his mom to find out about his mutation when they were both thirteen.
Y/n was sitting in the living room at Magda's house watching the television when Peter walked over to her excitedly and sat down on the couch next to her. "Smarty, Smarty, Smarty," He repeated his nickname for her, over and over poking her side. "What doofus?" Y/n answered. "Watch this!" He exclaimed and within a blink of an eye he was off the couch and on the other side of the room. "Ta Da!" He declared sticking his arms out. "How did you do that?" Y/n wondered as she looked in shock.
"My mutation came in!" He proudly confirmed. "Mutation? You aren't afraid of judgment?" Y/n questioned. "You know me I am not afraid of anything! Besides spiders and needles," Peter remarked. Y/n snickered at his over confident attitude which was only one of many parts of him that she loved so much. She had nothing bad to say about her best friend. "I knew it was probably going to happen at some point. You see my father is a mutant you know the one I have never met, and so I was bound to get it at some point and that point just happened to be today!" Peter smiled. "You talk too fast," Y/n noted. "Sorry," he apologized. "Don't be," Y/n quipped. "Want to have a race?" Peter wondered. "Oh you are so on!" Y/n cried out.
It was only but a few months after Peter found out he was a mutant that Y/n moved to Illinois due to her mother finding a new job.
"Speedy there is something I need to tell you," Y/n began. "Yeah what's going on?" Peter inquired. "My mother got a new job in Illinois," Y/n admitted. "Does that mean you're moving?" Peter asked. "I'm afraid so goofball," Y/n responded with tears starting to form in her eyes.
"Will I ever see you again?" Peter wondered. "Maybe," Y/n answered. "When are you leaving?" Peter questioned. "Today," Y/n confessed. "So this is goodbye?" Peter wondered. "This is goodbye," Y/n affirmed.
"Is there anyway I can get ahold of you?" Peter asked. "We haven't found a house quite yet, so we are staying at distant family members house until we find something," Y/n acknowledged. "Do you know the address?" Peter inquired.
"No and my mom is to busy packing, so I don't think I will be able to ask her. She wants to immediately head out by the time she is done," Y/n confessed. "So this really is goodbye then?" Peter accepted. "Promise when you're old enough to go out on your own you'll speed around the world to find me?" Y/n questioned. Peter started to get tears in his eyes as well. "I promise," Peter uttered. Peter pulled Y/n in for a tight hug. "I'm going to miss you smarty," Peter admitted. "I'm going to miss you too speedy," Y/n replied. "Y/n your mom is here to come get you!" Magda yelled downstairs. "Here take this," Y/n said as she handed a box to Peter. "Don't open it right now wait a litte while and when you miss me you can always have a piece of me with you," Y/n told him. "Goodbye Peter," Y/n said as she started to walk up the stairs. "Wait!" Peter yelped. "I think I outta leave you with something too," Peter noted. He rushed up the stairs to where she was and kissed her. "I love you," He murmured as he wiped some stray tears off her face. "I love you too," She responded and with that she was gone.
It has been sixteen years since he last saw her. They were both twenty nine years old now. Y/n decided to visit where she grew up and the first place she visited was Magda's house. She knocked on the door and when Magda saw her there she recognized her instantly.
"Y/n? Oh my gosh look at how grown up you are!" Magda exclaimed. "Here come inside," Magda invited her in with a warm welcome. "Would you like something to drink dear? We have tea, coffee, water?" Magda asked. "I'll have some tea if you don't mind," Y/n replied. "No problem does green tea sound good?" Magda wondered. "Sounds fantastic!" Y/n exclaimed.
A tween girl with green hair came into the room. "Mom who's she?" Lorna asked. "Oh this is your brother's childhood best friend," Magda told her. "You grew up with Peter?" Lorna inquired. "Yep but I moved when we were thirteen and I haven't seen him since," Y/n explained. "What was he like when he was younger?" Lorna wondered. "Oh he was a handful! Very confident, silly, and always bouncing off the walls," Y/n recollected. "He still is like that!" Lorna exclaimed. "Good to know," She said smiling. "Is he here?" Y/n questioned.
