Peter noticed through the window of the X-Mansion library a timid young person reading a book. Peter sped through the doors and sat next to the person. They peered up and looked at him. A smirk appeared upon his face. "Comic Books, huh? Is it about me?" Peter asked. "Who are you?" They questioned. "Are you serious? I am the iconic Quicksilver! A member of the X-Men!" Peter exclaimed. "Never heard of ya," they declared.

"What? Well, I am sure I will get to know you. So, what's your name?" Peter asked. "Y/N" they blurted out bluntly. "You are quite the conversationalist, aren't you?" Peter quipped. "Listen, I am trying to read," they stated. "Okay I will leave you be," Peter replied with a frown as he got up to walk away. "Fine! I will talk just not here," Y/n said. "Do you want to go to the kitchen?" Peter asked. "Okay" Y/n responded. "And I can get you there in record time," Peter winked.

Peter sped Y/n to the kitchen. Peter started to make some food. "So, what's your mutation?" Peter asked, eating a sandwich. Y/n's neck began to, twitch. "Are you okay?" Peter wondered. "I-I have Tourette's syndrome, and your super speed affected me," Y/n stated. "Oh, I am so sorry! I didn't know. Do you need something?" Peter inquired. "No just letting this tic ride through," Y/n said.

Their twitching calmed down before they replied. "My mutation is Invisibility," They stated. "Shy bookworm with invisibility? Seems fitting," Peter spoke. "Egotistical ADHD ridden man with super speed? Also fitting," Y/n quipped. "Touché A**hole," Peter said with a smirk.

Y/n started making a popping noise with their mouth. Peter watched as they involuntarily forced out each pop. "So, you got the swearing tic too?" Peter asked. Y/n chuckled loudly. "Is that all anyone ever cares about? No, I don't have the swearing tic. It is mostly body twitches and sounds that I make," Y/n explained. "Are you always so low and shallow?" Y/n questioned.

Peter dramatically fake gasped, placing his left hand on his chest. "Me? Never!" Peter cried out. Y/n smiled, and Peter's heart just melted. "Alright let me cut to the chase. I like you, and I know we just met, but perhaps I can take you out on a date?" Peter wondered. In his mind he couldn't help but think about the fact he was lying. He definitely sped around the school and saw their gorgeous face once or twice or maybe a thousand times. He wasn't really sure about the number. Super speed sure does have its perks.

"A date? I have never been on a date," Y/n admitted. "What! A lovely person like yourself has never been on a date?" Peter exclaimed. "Nope," Y/n replied. "Well let me take you somewhere I think you would like," Peter said aloud. Peter sped up to them and gently placed his hand on the back of their neck. "Oh right! The super speed affects your Tourette's," Peter recalled, gently removing his hand from Y/n's neck. "I will drive you to the coolest place that I think you'll like," Peter smiled. Peter walked Y/n out to the car and opened the door for them.

"Thank you...eep!" Y/n blurted out. "You're welcome," Peter grinned, snickering under his breath. "What's so funny?" Y/n wondered. "That eep tic was cute," Peter explained. "Oh," Y/n blushed. Peter got into the driver's side.

"I like your car," Y/n said. "Thanks! I got it as a gift for my 18th birthday. I typically use my super speed to go places, but for circumstances like this I don't mind driving," Peter recalled. "I am sure you have kissed a lot of girls in this car," Y/n assumed, their right-hand trembling. "Actually, I have never kissed a girl in this car. Honestly, I have only kissed three girls in my life," Peter confessed. "You would think a guy who exudes confidence like you would attract girls like crazy!" Y/n quipped.

"You would think right, but I am just a loser," Peter stated. "I don't think you're a loser," Y/n said with a raised brow. "I appreciate that," Peter smirked. Peter began to drive, listening to AC/DC's album Back in Black on cassette. Peter tapped his fingers on the steering wheel to the beat of each song. Y/n abruptly started whistling which threw Peter off, but he knew they couldn't control their tics. "Like the music babe?" Peter questioned. "Mhm," Y/n nodded. "We are almost there. It is right around the corner," Peter told Y/n.

As he turned and pulled into a parking spot Y/n saw a sign that read Buckley's Comic Shop. "They have the best comics here, and I will buy any comic you want," Peter said with a smile. "Maybe we can even find one with me in it! Superheroes like comics too, especially if they are in them," Peter bit his lip.

"Don't get your boxers all damp you egotistical narcissist," Y/n chirped, a grin plastered upon their face. They both enjoyed each other's banter. "Alright fine, but you'll see my charm one day. You will be fawning over me," Peter replied. "Yeah right we will see about that Silver," Y/n said, heading into the comic shop.

"Holy sh**!" Y/n exclaimed, glancing at the shelves completely filled with comics. Y/n dashed over to the Avengers comics. Peter scoffed. "The X-Men are so much better than the Avengers!" Peter quipped. "You're just jealous because you aren't a part of the Avengers," Y/n noted. Peter's face turned red with anger.

Peter grabbed an X-Men comic with him in it and handed it to Y/n. "Alright I will read this if you read a comic that doesn't have you in it," Y/n proposed. "Deal! I have always been a fan of Spiderman," Peter mentioned. "Why didn't you tell me that sooner? I love Spiderman!" Y/n yelped. "I didn't want you thinking I was a geek," Peter confessed. "I'm a geek, and don't you think I am cool?" Y/n asked. "Yeah, you are very cool," Peter smiled.

Y/n went up to the counter with about ten comics in their hand. Peter put down a Spiderman comic, and paid for all of them. "Thank you Peter, I can't wait to read these!" Y/n exclaimed. Peter loved seeing them getting so excited. "You're welcome babe," Peter smirked.

Y/n kissed Peter on the cheek sending shivers down Peter's spine. "You know you ain't half bad as I thought you were Silver... woop," Y/n admitted. Peter kissed them on the lips causing Y/n's body to jerk with glee. "You are the best geek I have ever met," Peter grinned.
