Peter and Y/n have known each other since the age of four, and they were inseparable! Even when Peter's mutation came into play when he was twelve, Y/n never abandoned him, that was until she had too. When they were fourteen, Y/n's family moved and Peter was devastated, but he tried to write to her as much as possible. The last letter he sent was when they were seventeen.

Dear Y/n, life has gotten pretty insane. I thought the cops were at my door, and caught onto my stealing antics, but it was three weird men. One by the name of Charles. Another called Hank, and some guy named Wolverine. He had these gnarly claws! They told me I needed to help them break Magneto out of the prison cell beneath the pentagon. Yeah, that Magneto. I know it's crazy, right? So I did it, because it sounded pretty f***ing fun. Wish you could have been there to see me do some super awesome sh**! I miss you, and I hope you are doing well. Sending all my love, Peter Maximoff.

P.S. Lorna is still a pain in my butt per usual, but I guess that is the pleasure I get for being her older brother.

It was approximately 16 years later when they finally got to see each other once again in person.

It was late at night and Peter walked into a nearby bar. He wasn't much of a drinker, but made the decision to get out of the mansion for a night. That was when he saw her. Peter recognized Y/n instantly despite being years older, she didn't change much, just a little taller now and more curvier. Peter definitely took notice of the slight changes, but pushed his impure thoughts to the back of his mind. He was just excited to see an old friend again. "Y/n?" Peter asked. Y/n looked up holding a shot of tequila in her hand. "Peter?" Y/n questioned, her heart swelling with joy. Peter hugged her tightly and she was quick to return the embrace. "What are you doing here?" Y/n asked. "Just trying to get a different view that isn't the X-Mansion. What are you doing here?" Peter wondered. "I just moved here. Boy am I glad to see you! You see I could use your help," Y/n sighed. Peter furrowed his brow.

"It's about my daughter, Stevie," Y/n started to say. "You have a daughter?" Peter questioned. Peter felt a pang of disappointment. He always thought he was going to marry her. "Yeah I do, she is a wonderful girl! However, she could really use your expertise right about now. It would be best if I showed you," Y/n said. "Okay where is she?" Peter asked. Y/n closed out her tab at the bar, and walked to her car with Peter. The car ride to Y/n's house was silent. Both had things they wanted to say, but thought it would be best to catch up later.

When they arrived at the house they saw Stevie in the living room crying. "Mom! It happened again I-I can't control it and it hurts!" Stevie exclaimed. Peter glanced at the television set. It had a hole in the center of it. "Oh goodness alright! Stevie, this is Peter. He is a close friend of mine, and I think he can help," Y/n explained. Peter got down on the floor looking up at Stevie. "Stevie, I am not here to hurt you. I want you to tell me exactly what happened," Peter stated. "Well I was sitting on the couch watching some cartoons. When my hands started glowing an orange color. The next thing I knew a blast came out of my hands, and I broke the television, and I felt drained like I couldn't move, and I-" Stevie recalled, bursting into tears.

"You probably think I am a monster! I got made fun of when it happened the first time too. I was hanging out with my friends. They were making jokes about me. I got frustrated, and I ended up taking down a tree with the blast," Stevie told Peter. "Well, first of all if they were making fun of you then they aren't really your friends, and secondly, you are not a monster Stevie," Peter declared. "No normal person can burst down a tree!" Stevie cried out. "Shh. You are right. However, Stevie, you are not a normal person. You are special. Have you ever heard of mutants?" Peter asked. "Yeah. My mom said she knew one when she was younger. Everyone makes them seem scary, but he sounded pretty awesome being able to run around super fast!" Stevie said. Peter smirked.
