XX - Let's Go Home

Once Calliope end the final verse of the song, she was brought back to reality when she heard cheers and applause surrounding the restau-bar. She opened her eyes and gave a small bow to the audience and thanked the band behind her before handing back the mic to the lead vocalist. She was about to descend the stage when saw Jordyn looking at her at the edge of the stairs. Or what she thought is Jordyn.

Calliope (internally): "Is that really Jordyn?" 

She was aware that she was tipsy but not too drunk to hallucinate another person. 

Calliope (internally): "Maybe it's just my imagination."

She was still staring at Jordyn while going down the stage and missed the last step tripping a bit but Jordyn was fast enough to grab her by the arms making her hug Calliope to keep her steady. Good thing it was dark in the end of the stage that it wasn't seen be the other patrons in the restau-bar as they had their attention towards the band that started playing another song.

Calliope kept blinking her eyes making sure she isn't dreaming and what she's seeing is real. Their faces were so close together that Calliope can't seem to look away like she was caught in a trance with Jordyn's soft Bambi eyes while Jordyn was fixated with the slightly drunk girl's mysterious yet expressive eyes.

Calliope: "You're pretty." she whispered as didn't realize she was thinking out loud due to her alcoholic state. 

Jordyn (internally): "D-did she just said I was pretty?" not sure of what she heard because of the loud music in the background.

Mackenzie: "Ui Callie, ok ka lang?" breaking the tension she was unaware between the two, but was confused seeing them in a rather compromising state with Jordyn hugging Calliope who looked like her knees gave out, but decided to assist Jordyn in  supporting her bestfriend's weight from the taller girl's arms.

Callie: "Kenzie, nandito ka na pala." trying to stand straight but she suddenly felt light-headed and started to sway to the right making Jordyn's reflexively grab unto her waist making sure she doesn't fall over.

Mackenzie: "Hui, Callie relax lang. Oo nandito na ako. Tara na, hatid ko na kayo lahat pauwi." shaking her head while wrapping Calliope's left arm around the back of her neck while Jordyn was on the opposite side still clinging to her waist.

Calliope was feeling sleepy all of the sudden thinking maybe the strong wine did it for her since she never drank it before and it did had a strong aftertaste but Gillian insisted that it was good and expensive so they didn't want it to go to waste finishing the bottle knowing that Mackenzie will just pick them up.

Speaking of Gillian; the 3 girls walked back to their booth where Gillian was drunkingly giggling at her girlfriend who was trying to let her drink some more water to calm her down knowing the short-haired girl was already on the verge of being wasted.

Aubrey: "Ikaw talaga, sino nagsabi magpakalasing kayo ni Calliope?" softly scolding the girl beside her who was trying to give her puppydog eyes thinking it would lessen Aubrey's irritation towards her.

Gillian: "We aren't drunk Bi, just slightly tipsy. Uncle Henry came by and gave us something to drink; sayang naman if hindi namin maubos. But not gonna lie; malakas nga ang tama." 

Aubrey: "Ng wine?"

Gillian: "Ng tama ko sa iyo." she said winking at her girlfriend who tried not to laugh at her cheesy punchline and just rolled her eyes at her.

Aubrey: "Ewan ko sa iyo. Halika na nga, uwi na tayo lahat. Nakakahiya kay Mackenzie oh."

Gillian: "Kenz! Hi! Kanina ka pa diyan?" she looked up and saw her kabarkada holding onto Calliope who was at the verge of closing her eyes with Jordyn helping her to stay upright. "Jordyn, Hi!" she said with enthusiasm while waving a little to much.

Jordyn just smiled and waved back as Calliope saw their interaction in a blurry manner and looked at Gillian with daggers that made her equally drunk friend raise an eyebrow.

Gillian: "Bakit ganyan ka makatingin Cal?" she laughed thinking her friend looked hilarious with her eyebrows furrowed but Gillian thought she looked constipated instead of angry because of the alcohol.

Aubrey: "You both are drunk, let's go." Helping her girlfriend up and off the booth but was swaying as she tried to walk so Aubrey held unto Gillian's waist the same manner as Jordyn is currently doing to Calliope.

Mackenzie: "Kaya mo ba?" she asked Aubrey.

Gillian: "Kaya ko."

Mackenzie: "Not you. I meant Aubrey, she's carrying your drunk ass alone." she said firmly which was responded with a chuckle from Gillian thinking Mackenzie was just joking but the latter felt a little irritated that Gillian allowed Calliope to be drunk knowing that their friend doesn't handle too much alcohol well especially when she is stressed along with the fact that she promised to bring home both Aubrey and Jordyn but decided to just get wasted.

Aubrey was about to answer when one of the security team saw them and offered his assistance in helping them bring both Calliope and Gillian to the car in which they agreed. 

Aliyah: "Mackenzie, Aubrey Hi! Oh ano nangyari kina Callie? Ok lang ba sila?" looking at the stuporous girls in front of her. "Pasyensya na ah, duon kasi ako inassign ngayon sa VIP table hindi ko napansin napadami ang inom nila." 

Jordyn can see the concern of the waitress' face as she tried to check up on Calliope primarily  since she kept touching her face and neck rather than Gillian who was just as drunk but maybe the girl didn't want to overstep since Aubrey was already there.

Jordyn (internally): "Are they close to one another?" she furrowed her eyebrows seeing the way the girl touched Calliope.

Mackenzie: "Mukhang ok lang naman siya, just a little too much to drink. I will take them home na."

Aliyah: "Do you need any help?" holding Calliope's stomach to steady her further but Mackenzie can see Jordyn was already on the other side looking like she doesn't want to let go of her friend so she respectfully declined the offer.

Mackenzie: "Hindi na Aliyah, kaya na namin ito. Balik ka na sa work baka pagalitan ka pa."

Aliyah: "Hindi ok lang, makikita naman nila na inassist ko ang kaibigan ng anak ng may-ari so goods tayo diyan. she chuckled as she took Calliope's arm from Mackenzie and slung it over to her neck instead before wrapping her left arm around Callie's middle torso since Jordyn was already holding her waist. "I'm Aliyah by the way." giving Jordyn a friendly smile when they made eye contact before they simultaneously guided Calliope towards the exit of the restau-bar while Aubrey and the security guard did the same for Gillian who was walking better than Calliope and just clutched to Aubrey's arm for support as Mackenzie went on ahead to get the car and drive it nearer to the entrance of the building to make it easier for them to place both drunk girls inside and less time to drag them around.

As the Fortuner arrived, they slowly put Calliope first with the help of Jordyn who secured her in the backrow seat of the car sitting beside her to make sure she doesn't fall over.

Next was Gillian who was seated on the middle row alongside Aubrey leaving Mackenzie by herself in the front seat since she was driver.

Aubrey: "Thank you Sir. Salamat Aliyah, see you in school. Sorry sa abala ah."

Aliyah: "Walang kaso iyan Aubrey, ingat kayo. See you at school, drive safely." she gave her goodbyes before the security bowed down politely and closed the door as Mackenzie started the car leaving Ampules.
