After an hour or so, the 4 girls left the department store with numerous paper bags on their arms and with smiles on their faces.
Stevie: "Whew! Sarap talaga magshopping dito sa Manila! Daming choices."
Maia: "Mukhang nagenjoy ka ah. Nagniningning mga mata mo ever since pumasok tayo eh." she laughed at Stevie's reaction that looked like a kid in a candy store.
Jordyn (signed while mouthing the words): "Shopping is her favorite hobby."
Stevie: "Hindi ko naman dinedeny iyan. Shopping will ALWAYS be my favorite hobby. Hehe."
Maia: "Ikaw Jordyn?
Stevie: "Naku Ate Aubrey, ginagawa parin niya hanggang ngayon."
Aubrey: "Haist, old habits are hard to change."
She side-hugged her cousin who nodded timidly with a small smile.
Maia: "Ui, nauhaw ako gusto niyo ba ng coffee or milktea?"
Stacey: "Ako din. Nauhaw ako sa kakatry ng damit kanina."
Maia: "Sige sige. Kayo? Gusto niyo rin?"
Aubrey: "Ay, bilhan niyo nalang kami ng kahit ano. May ipapakita lang ako kay Jordyn."
Before Jordyn can tell Stevie not to buy her anything, Aubrey took some of the bags Jordyn was holding and handed them to Maia and Stevie along with hers so they were both just holding 2 bags each; Aubrey hooked Jordyn's arm around her own and she led them deeper into the mall for a surprise Aubrey knew her cousin will surely love.
It didn't take them more than 5 minutes to arrive to the store. But before Jordyn can look at the sign, Aubrey pulled her in and Jordyn's eyes got wide like saucers upon seeing what's inside.
It was an art supply store.
It had everything an artist could wish for. Paints, crayons, pencils, plain canvases and brushes in all shapes and sizes, and so much more that Jordyn couldn't believe her eyes.
Aubrey: "Isara natin bibig mo Cous ah, baka may dumapo na fly." she playfully tipped Jordyn's mouth shut. "Tara, kakabukas lang nito probably a month ago at hindi pa ako pumapasok."
Jordyn took a quick glance at Aubrey who nodded enthusiastically before they made their way through the store.
As she looked around, the store looked like an artist's dream come true. It seemed like everything she wanted and needed are all there and she felt happy.
