10 minutes before:
Mackenzie: Damn, my phone is dying I forgot my powerbank at the motorcycle. Callie, can I use your phone? I just need to call mom for a minute.
Calliope: Sige.
Calliope disconnected her wireless headphones from her phone and handed it to her bestfriend while she adjusted her black cap and continued to keep walking with Mackenzie and Gillian behind her who was busy texting Aubrey.
They just left the foodcourt & were planning to head to the stationary to buy some school supplies but Gil requested if they can meet up with Aubrey first so they both agreed.
As Calliope was strolling through the mall, she had glances of different people in passing. Young, old, teenagers, young adults... By themselves, in a group, with their special someone...
"Maghihiwalay din kayo. They always do. Masasaktan niyo lang ang isa't-isa" she thought to herself.
She isn't a fan of romantic relationships. They always end up in bad terms in her opinion especially in her side of the family. Her parents. Her grandparents. Her cousin who lives in the States is now on her 2nd divorce according to her mom. Her uncle in her mother's side who she last saw 5 years ago that she remembered was having an annulment from her wife of 5 years. She couldn't think of anyone in her family who has had a long loving and lasting relationship so she has lost of the concept of being in love nor having a relationship with anyone since she knows the ending and finds in inevitable for her too.
She got lost in her train of thought until Mackenzie called out for her.
Mackenzie: "Thanks Callie. You know you should really change your playlist on Spotify. You need to expand your music vocabulary and not just the same 50 metal, rock, punk, emo and alternative songs that you listen to everyday.
She looked at her phone and her Spotify is on since she didn't exited it when she gave it to Kenzie earlier so her bestfriend must have browsed through her playlist.
Calliope: "Alam mo, masama mangialam ng phone ng ibang tao." Giving the girl beside her a warning look that could let others run for the hills but Mackenzie and Gillian are used to it by now. "Tsaka bakit ba? Yan ang mga hilig ko na kanta eh." she defended herself and connected her phone to her headphones and pressed play immediately on her usual playlist that's on shuffle.
I Walk Alone
by SalivaYeah!
This television has a poison on its breath
This counter culture of both wicked lives and death
It makes my eyes bleed every time I turn around
How will they all feel when I bring them to the ground?
And I saidGillian: "Sabi ni Aubrey nandito pa sila sa mall but I am not sure where though."
I walk for miles inside this pit of danger
A place where no one follows me, I walk aloneMackenzie: "Kailangan ko lang magC.R., wait lang guys ah."
Gillian: "Sama ako sayo. Ikaw Callie?"
Calliope: "Dito lang ako."
I'm sick of all these people talking out their heads
I never understood a damn thing that they said
From words to actions never knowing what they're about
I guess I'll have to chew them up and spit them out
And I saidCalliope looked around and was planning to stop by the music store when she noticed the art supply store just beside it and saw someone drawing.
I walk for miles inside this pit of danger
I've swallowed down a thousand years of anger
The weight of the world is falling on my shoulders
A place where no one follows me, I walk alone
