Heavy scene ahead. Trigger warning.

Calliope was riding her motorbike home after they shopped for school supplies at the mall and Gillian treated both her and Mackenzie dinner before going their separate ways.
As she was zooming through the streets making sure she checked her corners before turning, she saw a high beam reflecting at her side mirrors which caused her to become blinded a bit since it shone through her eyes, it was good thing there was no cars near her or she might have dented a car or worse, she could have collided with one.
She slowed down a bit to regain her balance and looked again at her mirror and saw the car that flashed her turned a corner and left her sight.
"Douchebag." she mumbled to herself before proceeding to head home.
At the Vergara residences:
Calliope parked her bike carefully by the gate before locking it and swiftly opened their front door and proceeded to call her mother but she heard no reply.
Calliope: "Anong oras na wala pa siya sa bahay?"
She placed the plastic full of school supplies on the coffee table and put the food she bought for her mom on their small dinning area then took out her phone, checking for any messages from her mother and she did found one just sent a few minutes ago while she was on the way home.
From Mom:
Anak! Malate lang ako umuwi ha. May pinaasikaso Tito Gio mo saakin dito sa office nila. Mauna ka na kumain. Uuwi ako kaagad. Love you Anak.
The younger Vergara nodded understanding her mother's text and gave her a quick reply to take care and she will wait for her.
Calliope wasn't known to express her feelings but she never denies her care and protectiveness towards her mother.
She was about to play some music on her wireless speakers but realized both devices including her phone was lowbatt already so she charged both of them in the living room before shutting off the living room lights but left the kitchen lights on and headed towards the bathroom for a quick shower.
After she was done, she dried her hair with a towel and went to their refrigerator to drink some cold water. As she was pouring a cup, a large crash was heard just outside their house which made Calliope drop the glass of water and ran towards the sofa to grab her baseball bat and slowly approached the window to see if anyone was near their home.
The only light she had on was from the kitchen so it wasn't obvious from the outside that there was anyone inside the home unless they heard the glass crashing on the floor just now. Calliope slowly opened the blinders of their window just by the front door with her heart pumping more than a hundred beats per minute and held her breath before looking where she saw a stray cat just knocking off one of her mother's flower pot that was hanging on their front gate which made the girl let off a sigh of relief.
Calliope: "Pisti yawa naman tong pusa na iyan."
She then slowly went back to the kitchen and placed the bat by the countertop to clean up the broken glass she dropped and mop the floor before her mom arrived. As she was picking up the bits of pieces of broken shards, she held on to a huge chuck of glass that was really sharp that caused her index and thumb to be cut by it which caused both fingers to bleed.
Callie saw the blood started to trickle down her fingers rather quickly and heavily; she felt light-headed and started to hyperventilate and sweating profusely.
