Chapter 12: "We need to talk"

It was later that same day, Lily was in her room listening to music on the radio. When she saw Stan walking up her driveway.

She quickly turned off the music and ran down the stairs to open the door.

"Stan?" Lily said as she opened the door.

"Lily we need to talk." Stanley said.

Lily nodded muttering a quiet, "Come in," as she moved out the way to allow him into her home.

"Let's go upstairs." Lily suggested. Stan nodded following up to her room. Lily say on her bed before patting the spot next to her.

Stan sighed before he began talking, "Listen Lily, I like you, I really do, but I just broke up with Wendy a few weeks ago."

"I'll wait for you Stanley. No matter how long." Lily responded.

"Thank you for understanding Lily. I just need time before I jump back into another relationship. Wendy really fucked with my head." Stan admitted

"I get it. Speaking of Wendy, we made up earlier and she saw us kiss." Lily spoke.

"Im glad you made up with her." Stan smiled.

"Me too."

'So Stan just showed up at my house.'

'What did he want?'

'He wanted to talk abt the kiss."

'Ofc he did.'
'What did he say?'

'He said he's not ready for another
relationship, because you guys
broke up a few weeks ago.'

'Aw Lils, he just wants to make
sure he's dating because he likes
you, and not because he feels like
your a rebound.'

'I hope your right.'

'I'm always right.'

Wendy's pov:

Kyle

'Kyle, you need to tell Stan to get his shit together.'

'Who is this?'

'That's not relevant.'
'You're Stan's best friend and
he need to hurry up and
make a move on Lilian.'

'I told him that already.'

'Lilian is mad at him.
He needs to grow
some balls and ask
her out already.'

'I just texted him.'
'He feels like he's moving to fast.
Since he broke up with Wendy
a few weeks ago.'

"Lily?" Gina knocked on the door.

"What?" Lily asked as she opened the door to her room.

"Was that Stan?" Gina asked referring to the boy who just exited the house. Lily nodded her head.

"I can see why you like him." Gina said. "What did he want?"

"He came to talk about the kiss. Then he said he liked me, but felt that he was moving on too soon." Lily explained.

"Moving on to soon? From Wendy right?" Gina said, earning a nod from Lily.

"They've been broken up for a few weeks now. Almost a month a believe." Gina spoke.

"Exactly. I told him I'd wait for him though." Lily said.

"He'll come around eventually Lils." Gina comforted the teen.

"What do you want to eat tonight? Your father is working late and won't be home until midnight." Gina asked.

"I'm not hungry." Lily replied.

"That's nonsense. You've barely eaten today." Gina explained. "Why don't you go take a bath and I'll prepare dinner then we can watch a movie."

"Alright."

And that is exactly what they did, Gina ended up burning the food she cooked so the two ordered pizza and watched Criminal minds until they fell asleep on the couch.
