"Advice is like snow - the softer it falls, the longer it dwells upon, and the deeper it sinks into the mind." - Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Lily and I sat on the bleachers, eagerly waiting for William to arrive.
It was a warm autumn evening and the stadium was packed. The atmosphere was electric.

We saw William walking towards us with Luca right behind him.

Unfortunately, my first encounter with Luca was not exactly ideal. He had accidentally thrown a football straight into my face, and I had rejected him soon after.

But now, as he walked towards us with William by his side, I couldn't help but feel a flutter in my stomach. He looked even more handsome than I remembered, and I suddenly felt self-conscious in my casual outfit.

William walked over to us, and Lily immediately jumped up to hug him. As they caught up, I nervously watched as Luca approached me.

"Hey," he said, smiling politely. "How are you?"

"I'm good, thanks," I replied, feeling a little awkward.

"Did you enjoy the game?" he asked.

"Yes, it was awesome," I said, trying to sound enthusiastic. "And that last touchdown of yours was incredible. Like, wow!"

Luca beamed at my comment, clearly pleased with the compliment.

As he turned to say something to William, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see William standing behind me, looking serious.

"Hey, can I talk to you for a second?" he whispered, gesturing for me to follow him.

I nodded and got up, following William to a quieter spot away from the crowd. As we sat down, I noticed that William looked worried.

"What's going on?" I asked, feeling concerned.

"Listen, I know you rejected Luca before, but he's a great guy," William said, looking at me intently. "I really think you should give him a chance."

I frowned, feeling a little frustrated. "William, I don't know if I'm ready for that," I said. "I mean, we barely know each other, and-"

"I know, I know," William interrupted. "But just trust me on this one. Luca is not all that he seems. He's been through a lot, and I think he deserves a chance to prove himself."

I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say. I had always trusted William's judgement, but I wasn't sure if I was ready to take a risk on someone like Luca.

"Okay," I said finally, nodding. "I'll think about it."

William smiled at me, clearly relieved. "Good. Now let's go back to Luca and Lily."

As we walked back to the bleachers, I couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed.

I had a lot to think about, and I wasn't sure if I was ready to take a chance on Luca.

We had all agreed to have dinner at Jasmine's, a popular diner in town that served a variety of delicious food.

Lily and I drove in my car, while William and Luca drove in Luca's car. William and Luca were roommates, and they had been close friends since their freshman year.

As we entered the restaurant, the hostess greeted us warmly and escorted us to our booth.

Lily sat next to William, and I sat next to Luca. I couldn't help but feel a little nervous sitting so close to him, but I tried my best to stay calm and composed.

We started off by talking about their latest game and how they were looking forward to the rest of the season. Luca had scored the winning touchdown, and he was clearly proud of himself.

As we waited for our food, Luca turned to me and asked me to tell him more about myself. I felt a little shy, but I decided to open up and share a little bit about myself.

"Well, I'm 19 years old," I started. "I'm studying Business at the university, and I have an older brother who also plays football. I'm close to my mom, and we like to spend time together. Oh, and I like reading too."

Luca looked at me with a smile on his face. "Wow," he whispered. "You're impressive."

I blushed, feeling a little flattered. "Thanks," I said, feeling a little more at ease.

I then turned to Luca and asked him to tell me more about himself. He seemed hesitant at first, but then he started to open up.

"Well, I'm also studying Business," he said. "In fact, we share a few classes together. I play football, as you know, but I'm not just a jock. I have a younger sister who I'm really close to, and I'm also very close to my parents, grandparents, and cousin. And like you, I also like reading."

As Luca talked, I couldn't help but feel drawn to him. He was more than just a football player, he was a well-rounded individual with a lot of depth and character.

As we ate our dinner and continued to chat, I found myself enjoying Luca's company more and more. He was funny, charming, and easy to talk to. Lily looked at me with a knowing look, and I just laughed and shook my head.

After dinner, we all headed out to the parking lot. William and Lily were chatting away, and I could hear Luca and I talking about our favorite books.

William and Luca walked us to our cars and we hugged each of them making plans to meet again soon.
