"Every great proposition begins with a bold idea and a willingness to take a chance." - Richard Branson
As we walked out of the Italian restaurant, I couldn't help but feel a little bit of sadness that the night was coming to an end.
The food was amazing, and the company was even better. It had been a long time since I had enjoyed myself this much, and I didn't want it to end.
Stefan and Noah said goodnight and walked to their car which was in the opposite direction.
Luca walked next to me, and I could feel his eyes on me. I turned to him and smiled, feeling a little shy under his gaze. "What's up?" I asked, trying to sound casual.
"I have a proposition for you," he said, and I could tell he was nervous. "But I don't want to say it here, let's go for a walk."
I nodded, and we started walking down the street, away from the restaurant. William and Lily followed us, but they kept a respectable distance.
We walked for a few minutes in silence, the only sound being the rustling of leaves under our feet. Then, Luca spoke up. "I know we've only known each other for a short time, but I can't help feeling like there's something between us."
I looked at him, a little surprised. I hadn't expected him to be so direct. "What do you mean?" I asked, feeling a little nervous.
"I mean that I like you, Nora. A lot," he said, his voice low and intense. "And I want to prove to you that I'm worthy of your love. Give me five dates and seven days of your time, and I promise you won't regret it."
I stared at him, trying to process what he was saying. Five dates and seven days was a big commitment, especially considering I barely knew him. But there was something about him that drew me in, something that made me want to take a chance.
"Okay," I said, finally. "I'll do it."
Luca's face lit up, and he reached out to take my hand. "You won't regret it, I promise."
We continued walking, and I could feel the butterflies in my stomach as I thought about what lay ahead. Five dates and seven days with Luca. It was a risk, but it was also exciting.
We walked back to our cars.
We stopped next to Lily's car and he thanked me for an awesome night.
He leaned down and gave me a light forehead kiss before hugging me.
He pulled away and I saw that Lily has already climbed into the car. I walk towards the passenger seat and wave at William and Luca before I get inside.
Lily looks at me knowingly and I just laugh.
We drive to Saffira Hall and decide that we are going to have a girls night. I grab snacks in the kitchen while Lily sets up the TV in the living room. I walk to the living room and fall down on the couch. Lily comes and sits next to me.
"So you and William, huh?" I asked her.
She looked down slightly and blushed, "Yeah, yesterday he invited me to the park and when I got there he had prepared another picnic area, and after a lovely picnic he kissed me and asked me to be his girlfriend."
"I'm really happy for you!" I say gushing.
