Luz's POV:
As I descended down into the dark hole I felt around my pockets and pulled out a light Glyph. I activated it, letting it blaze to life and create a small orb of light. The sides of the elevator I was on was kind of a gold and stone spiral going down the direction it is taking me. The ride down lasted for maybe 5 minutes before it opened up into a tall hallway and settled down on the floor.
I barely took one step off the platform when torches ignited down the hallway illuminating murals of someone. They didn't show a face, it was almost as if they were purposely filled in. As I walked I saw a mural of them standing facing a crowd, ready to fight. Next to it was a harrowing sight. It looked like the fight didn't go their way and he was brutally injured, and tied down. An individual was standing above them with a jagged dagger raised in one hand.
In the next mural, it was clear that the man's throat was slashed and he had bled to death. The person who did this to them was throwing them into a deep grave. In the next mural the grave was buried over, but an odd spell circle appeared in the soil. The next mural showed a hand clawing out of the soil with bone like fingers and fur from the palm down to the wrist sticking out of the soil.
"That's some night of the living dead stuff right there," I said as I looked over the next mural of the man crawling out of the grave. His body was completely different, he was facing away from me but I could make out long hair with long curved horns sticking out, and a bushy tail. "That tail kind of looks like King's."
A door at the end of the hallway, which I only just now realized I was at, opened behind us. Inside was a large and tall round room with a statue at one end holding a staff with what looked to be a ram as the palisman. Between the door and the statue was a large circle that resembled a glyph combo, but it used none of the glyphs I recognized.
As I stepped into the room I seemed to inadvertently activate the glyph combination. It glowed in a tremendous light and I was blinded for a moment before it dissipated and the glyph combo was gone. I looked around to see what it might have done or triggered but noticed nothing. That is until a soft shifting sound came from the statue.
I only just now got a good look at it, it's face was half skull half flesh the upper part being the skull it had long flowy and curling hair which had two horns that curved back and then up. His clothes, you never can tell with demons here, were furry looking and he had two large claw-like toes on his feet. They reminded me of King's toes a bit, and his arms were furry up till the fingers which were bone like.
The shaking of the statue continued, before finally cracks formed on the surface and light began to seep out of them. Once the shaking stopped the light from the cracks increased in intensity before finally the rock burst off of the statue. Leaving behind a man standing there with a staff before they crumpled to the ground, like they just passed out.
"You were petrified and knew how to undo it?!" I shouted as I ran over to check on him.
"Luz, he will be fine he just needs rest if I am remembering correctly," Principle Bump said walking up from the shadows.
"You knew about this?!" I yelled.
"Yes, I knew about all this," He answered, gesturing around. "Your currently comforting the man that was my mentor. He requested me to petrify him and store him down here in a place of his own design. He already had the marking on the ground when I brought him down here, he had ordered me to not touch it. Finally I was ordered to seal off the entrance till someone came along and beat Grometheus."
"Did you know the glyph he drew would undue the petrification?" I asked.
"No," Bump said. "But I knew I could trust my mentor with everything so I followed his orders."
"So who is this?" I asked, looking down at his face.
"This is Cyrus," Bump answered. "I don't know what he is but he was a very powerful wild witch back in the day. He is also the primary founder of, Hexside school of magic and demonics. He will want to speak to you when he wakes up so I will give you the day off, I suggest taking him to your place."
"Sure I'll contact Eda," I said, pulling out the walkie talkie. "Eda I found someone down here and Bump is giving me the day off from school since they will want to talk to me when they wake up. Can you come pick us up."
"I'll be there in a moment kid," she said and I heard the door close behind her.
"Thanks, see you soon," I said. "Bump do you mind giving me a hand to get him out of here he is a little heavy."
"Fine," he said, drawing a spell circle in the air and an abomination rose from the ground and lifted up Cyrus from my lap. "Now let's hurry and get you guys on your way, Cyrus was very wanted back in the day so please be careful if the emperor's coven found out he is back there would likely be problems."
"Will do," I said following the abomination to the elevator. "See you tomorrow Bump."
"See you tomorrow Luz don't forget to study." He said before he dissolved and teleported back to his office I assume.
(Here is what Cyrus looks like More will be revealed at a later time.)
