Keeping up A-Fear-Ances

Cyrus POV:

          I made breakfast quickly and prepared the table for everyone, shortly afterwards King, Luz and Lilith were down to eat. "I hope you all enjoy the meal." I said sitting down and drinking a cup of mourning dew. 

          "It looks wonderful Cyrus," Lilith said. 

          "Yeah great job on the Griffen egg omlete," Luz said. 

          "It tastes amazing! Weh," King shouted.

          Eda walked down wearing a new ensamble. She wore a red dress that she seems to have intentionally ripped a piece out of to make it more her. "Beans!" she said looking through the fridge, "We're out of apple blood. Still no luck?" she directed towards Luz.

          "Ugh, none!" Luz said pulling her bookstack back to her. "And I was up all night. I've read every Tome, book, notepad, and tealeaf but nothing explains how to make a portal to the human realm."

          "Wish I could help you kid," Eda said. "but my portal was already pretty old when I found it." 

          "How long did you have it?" Luz asked.

          "Well-" Eda began. 

          "AHH!" Lilith screamed from the living room. We all rushed out to see her crawling on the floor her nails longer and feathers growing from her arms. "Help me." 

          Eda immediatly grabbed a bottle from under a pillow and rushed over to her sister. Making her drink the potion down. "Calm down, just calm down." She soothed, "The curse acts stronger when your stressed."

          The feathers dissapeared and Lilith went back to normal, "That was horrible," She said coming back down. "How have you managed all these years?" 

          "Well its been hard," Eda said pulling Lilith back up. "But since we split the curse at least the elixers are working again." 

          "I really need to look into your guys curse when I get the chance," I said sipping my Mourning dew. "Its ringing some bells the more I see of it." 

         "You've seen the curse before?" Luz asked me. 

          "Maybe, I am a lot older than I look after all," I replied. "Maybe in one of my books back at Hexside."

          "So you might now another way to combat it?" Eda asked. 

          "Or remove it maybe," I said. 

          "That's a relief," Lilith said looking down to see her hand had fallen off. "Ahh!" 

          "Oh yeah that's a side effect of the curse," Eda said grabing lilith's hand and screwing it back in. "It's actually fun once in a while. No don't worry. I've stashed elixers all over the house, whenever you start feeling feathery just help your self to one of these bad boys."

          "Ooo," Luz said while clapping.

          "I had no idea this is what I did to you," Lilith said ashamed. "I am so, so sorry." 

          "Eh, at least I've got company now." Was Eda's response. And you've got me if you need anything." With that Eda walked out side and Me and luz followed behind her.  

          She stopped and looked up into the sky, "As I was saying I've had the portal for years." she said looking at us approach. "But I originally just found it in the dirt. I never figured out who made it or where it came from. I just kept it to myself." She shrugged hugging herself.
