Chapter 12 : Bright like a Diamond, Beautiful as a Rose

Normal POV

Shadow is now finding Amy to see if she's okay still pissed off with Sonic with his pissed off look on his face with his pissed off self. He walked to the cashier where he had to meet with Amy to see her already paying for the black skirt.

"That black skirt would look very cute and sexy on Amy...wait...WHY AM I THINK ING LIKE A PERVERT?!"

Shadow slapped himself to get him out of his thoughts which Amy noticed with a concerned look on her face. Shadow blushed both from the perverted thought and embarrassment.

"Ummm Shadow are you okay?"

"Oh ummm yeah I'm fine just acting dumb I guess?"

"Oh okay then look at the skirt I bought isn't it just so cute."

"Yeah it would look great on you."

"So what are you going to buy Shadow?"

"Yeah I did and in fact I bought it to give it you."

"Really? You're so sweet. What is it?"

Shadow puts his hand on his pocket to get the case and hands it to Amy who opened it to see a beautiful ring which made her blush and gasp in amazement. Shadow blushed as well looking at the ground looking shy.

"It's a gift from me saying thank you for being such a good friend and always been there for me no matter what the cost. You deserve it."

"Oh Shadow...I don't know what to say."

Amy hugged Shadow who hugged back.

"Thank you Shadow. This is the best present ever."

"No problem Amy. Glad that it is."

Amy pulled away from the hug and goes to the cashier to pay for the ring with Shadow who gave her the money for it. Shadow looked at the window to see its almost sunset.

"Alright Amy we should probably go back to our homes before my dad becomes angry at me for being late."

"You're right...I don't want him to hurt you like he did last time or even worse than that...I don't want to see any more cuts and you being depressed again like you were that day. And I want to help you to prevent that Shadow."

"Just...try not to get in the way between me and my father. My father is very dangerous for you and I don't want you to get hurt by him. If you did...I wouldn't forgive myself."

Amy sighed with a sad look on her face which made Shadow sad as well. He hates seeing Amy being sad or depressed again since he thinks it would make things worse for her.

"Shadow why can't you let me help you? Why won't you let anyone help you. I know deep inside of him he's crying for help but I guess he doesn't want anyone to get involved and get hurt or even worse."

Amy and Shadow walked out of the mall and now walking on the sidewalks on thier way back to thier homes.

"Should I tell Amy about Sonic's apology? But I don't him to break her heart like he did before. The memories if her being depressed really breaks my heart. And I don't know if she'll forgive or not. What he did to her is unforgivable."

Shadow had a very angry look on his face remembering all the times Amy looked sad who noticed looking at Shadow with a concerned look on her face.

"Shadow are you sure you're okay? First you were blushing and now you're angry for some reason."

"Yeah I'm fine Amy."

"I know you're lying Shadow. You don't have to hide anything from me...you can trust me right?"

"You're the only person I can trust...I'm just scared to see your reaction."

"You won't know my reaction unless you try so spit it out."

"Alright fine...when we split up back at Macy's, I saw Sonic there and he told me to tell you that he apologize for breaking your heart making you depressed."

Amy eyes widen in shock surprised that Sonic would want to apologize to her.

"So...do you forgive him for what he did?"

"I...don't know if I should...if I did then I might be annoying to him again and I don't want to him to be angry like he was on that day again."

"Yeah me neither...I don't want anymore tears streaming from your eyes again except from laughter and happiness."

"I'll have to think about my decision if I should forgive him or not. Let's just talk about something else S-"

Amy then realized that Shadow had disappeared without a trace. She started to get worry.

"S-shadow where are you?!"

"I'm right here Amy?!"

Amy turned around to see Shadow buying a red rose from a flower shop. Then he hands the rose to Amy who tried to hide her blush with it.

"Awww thanks Shadow how sweet of you."

"You're welcome....Rosie."

"And you even gave me a nickname. Yay!"

"Anyway...we have to hurry back to our houses before my father gets upset see ya Rose I had fun hanging out with you."

"Me too and bye."

Amy and Shadow went thier separate ways.
