Chapter 7: I'm Here For You

Normal POV

As Shadow has Amy in his arms, Amy couldn't helped by noticed that when she started to gain little consiousness, she notices that Shadow is wearing a long sleeved coat, a long sleeved shirt, and long pants. Male Mobians commonly doesn't wear any clothing except for thier gloves and shoes. So why is Shadow wearing clothing? Shadow and Amy made it to the clinic to see the nurse taking care of a student who looks like he had a stomach ache. When the nurse noticed the two hedgehogs, she smiled at them but her smile soon faded away when she saw bruises on her body especially on her stomach.

"My lord what happened you two?!

"She was beaten up by a bunch of jerks in a secret area and I saved her."

"That's terrible. Please bring her to that room."

Shadow gently puts Amy on bed and watched as the nurse tended to her wounds. He noticed that Amy was looking at Shadow with a worried look on her face he whole time which got him a little concerned. When the nurse was finished with Amy's wounds she got up from her seat.

"Alright I'm finished. All you need is a good rest then you'll be better than no time."

"Thank you miss...and may you please let me and Shadow alone so we can talk in private?"

"Of course."

The nurse closed the door behind her as she exited the room. Shadow sat on the empty chair near Amy's bed. He had a sad look on his face and his ears lowered as he looked at his friend's injuries.

"I'm so sorry that this has happened to you Amy...it's my fault that everyone don't like you anymore and you were hurt. I'm such a horrible friend."

"What?! Shadow it's not your fault and you're not a horrible friend. You saved me from commiting suicide and from having additional pain from the bullies. That's one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me. That would a wonderful friend do."

"Really?"

"Yep...and thank you so much for that."

"Your welcome Amy."

"And...Shadow?"

"Yeah?"

"Why are you wearing those clothing? It's Spring not Winter."

When Amy asked him that question, he had a worried look on his face and he looked like he's thinking of a good excuse.

"I uhhh wanted to protect myself from attacks from bullies...yeah."

"I know you're lying Shadow. I know that you're hiding something on those clothes. I can see it in your lies."

"But Am-"

"Now!...and sorry I was a little harsh but I always get like this when I'm concerned deeply of my friends. And I want to help you."

"Fine."

When Shadow took off his clothes, Amy eyes widen in shock seeing that there is scars and cuts everywhere on his body which are now in a ugly green color.

"Did your father dud this to you?! Why would he be so cold-hearted to his own son?!"

Shadow didn't answered that question. He started to have tears streaming from his eyes as he burst out crying crouching on the floor which made Amy's heart break in sadness. Amy weakly got off of bed and walked to Shadow and bobbed down hugging him who hugged back tightly letting his tears fall on the floor. Amy started to have some tears as well hearing Shadow pouring his poor heart out. She felt pain from getting off of bed to hugging Shadow but she just ignored it since she wanted to hug him until he let go of his pain. After a whille, they let go and started to calm down wiping the remaining tears off their faces.

"Feel better Shadow?

"Yeah a little. And let me carry you back to bed so you can rest."

"Wait I want to tend to your wounds first. Please hand me the first aid kit."

Shadow got up from the floor and got the first aid kit from a shelf and hands it to Amy who opened it and started to tend to Shadow's wounds. Shadow winced as Amy is putting the alcohol poured gauze on Shadow's cuts. After that Amy wrapped the bandages around the scars and cuts and puts the equipment back in the kit and hands it to Shadow puts it back on the shelf. Then Shadow carried Amy back on the bed and puts his clothes back on. And Shadow sat back on the chair staring at Amy's eyes who is staring at his eyes both in inspiration.

"Amy's eyes look so beautiful...perfect for a beautiful lady. When I look at her eyes, it makes me feel safe and makes my heart warm whenever I feel depressed."

"Shadow's eyes look so amazing. They're just like rubys. My feelings couldn't be described how sorry I'm feeling for Shadow. And I hope I can help him by protecting from his father but I know he wouldn't like that. Shadow please let me help you."

Thier thoughts are soon interrupted by the nurse opening the door.

"Hello and am I interrupting anything?"

"No its fine miss."

"Great to hear and Amy you should rest for a while and you should go to your class Shadow."

"Sorry miss but no. I want to be with her to make sure she's okay. And is my responsibility of the bullies that attacked her. I promise I won't bother as she's sleeping. Please miss."

Amy smiled to herself that Shadow cares for her so much.

"Is it okay for you Amy."

"Yes I don't mind that at all."

"Alright you can stay with Amy Shadow. I
Ring the bell to let me know you're awake Amy. Sleep well."

"I will."

The nurse walked out of the room finally leaving Shadow and Amy alone again.

"You really do care about me a lot do you Shadow?"

"Well of course I do. You mean a lot to me and all I care about is making sure that you're safe."

Amy smiled sweetly at Shadow who smiled back.

"Well I guess I'll should get some rest. What are you gonna do till I'm awake?"

"I'll sleep as well I guess."

"Oh okay. Sleep well Shadow."

"You too Amy."

Shadow tucked Amy in who fell asleep and Shadow sleeps while sitting on the chair having his head on the bed.
