Chapter 2 : Shadow and his Suffering

Normal POV

Sonic and the gang turned around to see a black hedgehog with red streaks on his furs and a patch of white chest fur on his chest and has ruby eyes. He's wearing shoes that will allow him to hover above ground and white gloves with black and red-tounged cuffs and inhibitor rings. He's walking toward the entrance to the school ignoring the glares from the students hiding his black eye. Everyone in the school hates him and they always look at him like he done something very bad to them but he didn't. He gets bullied all the time and he keeps leaving and coming to school with cuts and bruises. The black hedgehog was about to go into the school until a gang of bullies stopped him in his tracks by getting in his way. The leader of the gang is a green hedgehog with blue eyes and two brown scars that ran across his stomach. He's wearing red sunglasses a black leather jacket with flames stickers on it and green and black shoes. He looks a lot like Sonic's twin brother but he's actually his cousin.

"Can you move out of my way Scourge? I'm not in the mood to be dealing with you and your servants."

"Do I look like I give a crap about your annoying moods?! Now....what you hiding there in your eye Shadow?"

"Since when do you care about my injuries?! Now get the hell out of my damn way?!"

At that, Scourge punched Shadow hard on the stomach which made Shadow hold his stomach in pain on his knees. Scourge kneeled down and grabs his face to see Shadow's black eye which made him smirk.

"Well what do we have here? How did you get that black eye Shadow?"

"I uhhh....ran to a pole."

"Yeah...sure you did. If you ever talk to me like that again, I'll do much more than giving you pain in your stomach....and this as well."

Scourge slapped Shadow's face and walked into the school with his gang following him. The students didn't do anything to stop Scourge at all. Everyone just laughed at him and began calling him cruel things. Shadow just stayed there touching his cheek while it stings. But there's just one person that doesn't hate him...and that person is Amy. She always just stand there feeling sorry for Shadow and what he has to go through in his life without calling mean names and punching him in the face. Amy wanted to be by his side and comfort so that they could be friends but she's just scared of what the others will think about being with a hated hedgehog and that she'll be bullied too. The school bell ring signaling everyone that it's time for the students to go to their 1st period class in five minutes. Everyone goes into the school not helping Shadow. Amy and the gang goes to their separate ways and Amy walks with Sonic holding his hand since they both have their first three classes together....bad for Sonic but good with Amy. Their first hour teacher is Ms. Adams who teaches Science but I won't tell you what she looks like since she's not important. When the two hedgehogs went to the room, they see that most of the classmates are now surrounding Shadow poking him while he just do nothing but put his head down. The teacher isn't even in the room letting this happen to Shadow. Sonic laughed while Amy just sighed with a sad expression on her face. Shadow and Amy both have all of their periods together but they don't really talk to each other at all. The bell ranged and the students go quickly to their seats. Ms.Adams walked into the room to sit on her desk but then she saw a student that sits next to Shadow poking him with his pencil which made her upset.

"Darry! I'm sick and tired of you always annoying Shadow for no reason! Switch seats with Amy right now!"

Darry glared at Shadow and gets off of his original seat getting his stuff to where Amy is who is between Sonic and Knuckles getting off her seats getting her things.

Darry whispered to Amy" I feel so sorry for you that you have to sleep with that pathetic loser."

Amy just ignored Darry and just got to her new seat with no hesitation. Shadow always site at the far left or right back corner of the room so no one will annoy him by kicking his seat and that he'll just get annoyed in the front of him. Shadow still has head down but Amy could see that he has tears coming out of his eyes as he's silently crying and that just made Amy's heart ache. She had never seen someone with no friends and has this much pain in his emotions. The class is now beginning to do their class work but Shadow doesn't have a pencil since someone just have to steal it from him. Amy gone into her backpack to pick out an extra pencil she has. She's kinda worried to talk to Shadow but she pushes her worries aside.

Amy whispered " Ummm excuse me...Shadow. "

Shadow took his eyes off from his class work to Amy " What do you want?"

"You can have my pencil if you want."

"You don't have to do that...I don't want you to waste a pencil for a worthless person like me."

"Don't say that....I have a lot of other pencils in my possession since I'm always prepared. And I'm not taking no as an answer."

Shadow waited for a few seconds to gently take the pencil from Amy's hand.

"Thank you."

Amy smiled at Shadow " You're welcome Shadow."

The two looked away at each other and turned their eyes back to their work.

"That girl....Amy was it? She's actually the first person ever that is being nice to me unlike the other jerks in this dreadful place. She's very...different from the others."

"Wow. That was the first time we finally talked to each other despite the fact that me and Shadow have all of our periods together. Maybe we can become great friends someday.

4 periods later

Shadow and Amy didn't talk since the first time and now it's time for them and their classmates to go to the cafeteria. The cafeteria is probably the worst place in the school. There are no teachers to boss you around but there are administrators and security around the area in case something bad is happening. Amy is now sitting with the gang but Shadow is now sitting by himself away from his classmates eating his lunch silently. Knuckles and Rouge are now feeding each other their lunches while the others are disguisted.

"Cut it out you two. You guys can eat your lunch without help at all."

"I believe I just lost my appetite."

Knuckles and Rouge just ignored his friends and continues. But then Scourge and his gang came to Shadow and slammed his head into his food and threw him to the floor. Shadow just wiped the food off his face death glaring at the bullies while everyone gathers around the scene.

"What the hell was that for?!"

"For being born in this world. Why can't you just die? Nobody will miss you anyway since your life is worthless."

Shadow had enough of Scourge's stupid behavior and punches him in face hard which made flew into a table breaking it. Everyone was surprised that Shadow is that strong.

"WHY DO YOU ALWAYS TREAT ME THIS WAY?! WHAT DID I EVER DID TO YOU THAT CAUSES ALL YOU MONSTERS TO HATE ME SO MUCH?! JUST LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE AND STAY OUT OF MY LIFE!!"

Scourge and the gang all death glares at Shadow and they all now kicking Shadow simultaneously. Shadow just rolled his body into a ball shielding himself from the hits getting bruises around his body. Amy had enough of Scourge and his gang and she pulls out her piko piko hammer and hits all the jerks on their heads which made them fell on the floor. Amy got in front of Shadow for protection.

"LEAVE SHADOW ALONE BEFORE I'LL BREAK YOUR SKULLS!"

Everyone was shocked that Amy would defend Shadow especially Shadow.

"YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THAT YOU PINK BRAT!"

Scourge was about to attack Amy but security gaurds tackled him to the ground along with Amy.

"You seven troublemakers are in a lot of trouble."

Hi everyone!!!! Looks like Shadow and Amy will have to be in detention thanks to that stupid Scourge. I wish I will just try to comfort Shadow with everything I have and become friends with him just like Amy would. I hope you guys will give more views in my stories. Follow, vote, comment.
